About Robert & David

Myself and partner David have been welcoming holiday guests for the past 4 years and love it. Our aim is to provide all our gusts with the best experience throughout their stay and to enable memories that might last a lifetime. David works for the government and I have recently taken early retirement after working in Forensics for the past 33 years.

Robert & David purchased this cottage in 1996

Why Robert & David chose Beith

If you like tranquility, nature on your doorstep, recharge your batteries, relax with a glass of wine in the hot tub watching the night sky, then our cottage is ideal.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage is around 200 years old and was once a stable in the early 1800s when the only mode of transport in the area was horse & carts.

Really Lovely

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 2 nights for my wife's 40th birthday and absolutely loved it. The cottage itself is set in a rural location which is really quiet and peaceful. It also gave us the option to savour the local cuisine in which we went to the Braidswood which was one of the best meal we've ever had out and Robert was so kind to give us a lift there also. We have to say that the best part for us though was the 4 or so hours we spent in the hot tub with the 2 bottles of champagne that was kindly put on chill for our arrival. Overall... I really would recommend this lovely cottage for anyone wanting a chilled out/ relaxing time.

Cottage in beautiful countryside location

  • 4 of 5

We were warmly greeted by hosts Robert and David upon arrival. Cottage is located in a beautiful farming area but within close distance to Glasglow, Loch Lomand, and Edinburgh. Everything we needed was provided and beds were comfortable. One of the best things for me was waking up and going to sleep with the many birds singing. Highly recommend this relaxing location. The Lafon family
