Why Clare Parnell chose Padstow
Fisherman's Cottage is a charming cottage right in Padstow old town. It is full of character but at the same time very well equipped so that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. We only bought Fisherman's Cottage recently so don't have any ratings yet. To give you an idea of our high standards we have a second property at Polzeath (The Wheatstore Ref. 8164148) which is rated 5 Star from 24 reviews.
What makes this Cottage unique
Fisherman's Cottage is right in Padstow old town but set just back from the bustle and restaurants in a quiet mews of similar style cottages. Fisherman's Cottage is a real comfortable "home away from home" and a great place to retreat to after a busy day exploring wonderful Padstow and the surrounding area.

Very authentic, charming setting, very quiet but in the centre of the village.
The cottage was very comfortable and it had everything you could want for your stay. I cooked quiet a few times and I found the kitchen great to work in as it had everything I needed even down to the hand towel to dry my hands on. The lounge was comfortable and a great place to sit and read in the evenings. The bedrooms and bathroom upstairs though small as you would expect were very comfortable. There was a wardrobe for hang your clothes plus a chest of drawers in the main bedroom. The lighting was very good through the whole cottage. We even enjoyed sitting in the front garden. The Golden Lion Pub Is just down the road from the cottage and has great food.
We thoroughly enjoy our weeks stay in Padstow.
Lovely clean cosy cottage in the heart of padstow
Lovely clean cosy cottage with everything you need. Peaceful. Comfy bed and short walk to town and car park Lovely beaches. Just not enough outdoor seating at restaurants and bars for our liking
Cosy cottage right in the heart of Padstow
Had a great stay at Fisherman's Cottage. Had everything we needed and was perfectly situated.
Fisherman's Cottage, Padstow
The property is clean, very well appointed (even chopsticks in the cutlery drawer!) and very comfortable (Decent mattresses, central heating, gas fire). We even found a sewing kit a hot-water bottle in various cupboard. The owners have thought of pretty much everything.
Our only minor criticism that we have is that the shower temperature was not easily stabilised. A nit-pick really, given the accomodation's many excellent features.
We knew there would be no parking outside. A bit of a chore, but there is plenty of overnight pay-and-display parking nearby and the car didn't get broken into, damaged or stolen! To be fair, parking in a public car-park seems to be a feature of many Padstow holiday cottages.
Taking all aspects of Fisherman's Cottage into account, it's probably the best self-catering accommodation we have ever visited and I have no hesitation in awarding 5 stars.
The pictures online are exactly what you will find at The Fisherman's Cottage - an "oh so cute" blue and white little dream of a place to stay while in Padstow. Everything you need you will find and more, very clean and welcoming scones on our arrival. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Clare, and she was delightful also. The bakery Chough was just a minute walk with hot bacon baps in the morning and our favorite pub The Golden Lion just down from your doorstep. The "Lawn" parking only a five minute walk (uphill to burns off the bacon bap!). Thank you Clare :)
Lovely little hideaway - very snug
Cottage was charming -it's small, but had everything we needed - scones, jam and cream waiting for us were a nice touch -plus a welcome card. Heating was on when we arrived which made it a cosy experience. We very much enjoyed being a close stroll to the restaurants -did the Seafood and Rojanos - plus the local cliff and beach walking is exceptional. All in all - a very enjoyable long weekend. Parking's a bit of a pain, but the instructions from the upper car park were good - and having been to Padstow before - we already knew that parking was going to be a pain. Would definitely stay here again -it was just what we were looking for!
