Situated down a quiet country lane and just a short drive from the seaside town of Whitby, Hideaway Cottages make for a great base from which to explore both the North York Moors National Park and the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Set within the National Park, there are some fantastic walks right from your doorstep, and the Cinder Track passes close by, an old railway line that stretches for 21 miles from Scarborough to Whitby. It now provides ideal walking and cycling terrain off the roads, and the village of Hawsker also benefits from a local bike hire. Both properties enjoy wonderful views over the landscape, along with outdoor areas for making the most of warm summer’s evenings. To the south lie Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough, whilst to the north are the wonderful resorts of Sandsend and Staithes. Whitby remains one of the most visited seaside resorts in the UK thanks to its year round attractions. Beach 2 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
