At the small river edge, attractive view, house with large garage for cars and bicycles. Large property (1800 sqm) lawn, garden furniture, BBQ... 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. Ideally located 500 m away from the end of the centre of the town and the boat club.

Ideally located house, in the Bourg d'Oisans village, departure from all bicycle activities, mountain, white waters, etc. In a vast plain, with a recommended altitude of 750 meters in the heart of the l'Oisans massif, at the foot of the mythical ascent Alpes d'Huez. Many activities during the summer and heated water stadium opened June to August end.

The house has all amenities for 13 persons (maximum), with a large garden in the middle of nature and an equiped garage for the cyclist, with shower and toilet at this level. First floor with a large kitchen with all comforts and 4 large rooms of which one has a television. 1 bathroom and 1 toilet at this floor.

A very nice view of the mountains, particularly of the Alpe d'Huez and in front of a little river on which it is possible to enjoy canoeing.

The village centre and its shops are accessible by foot at 5 minutes away.

Great base for summer cycling

Bernard & Nicole's house was a perfect base for us to explore the area on road bikes..really close to Alp d'Huez to tackle the classic climb and on longer days col du Glandon, Croix de fer, Telegraphe, Galibier and Col du Lautaret are all within reach..

only staying 5 days the problem was trying to choose where to go first..

The house has ample space, easily taking more than the 5 adult men in our group with a very large garage that was great for storing our bikes and all equipment. Having 3 showers was an advantage when all getting ready after a hard days cycling .

I spoke with Nicole on several occasions before and during our stay and she was lovely to deal with.

after a long day in the saddle the lively little town is but a short walk away..nice to stretch the legs and not be sitting down for a while!!

if we went back to this area to tackle some of the climbs we missed out on then I would have no hesitation in renting this property again and would recommend others do likewise

A well positioned house but needs a really good clean and some updating

The house was in a lovely position by the river on the outskirts of town. It was advertised as sleeping 13 but we had only 7 and that was more than enough in the rooms provided. Unfortunately one of the sleeping rooms was the living room using old and tired sofa beds, these along with all the bedding in the property had clearly not been cleaned for some time and were quite smelly, not what you really want at all and the mattresses were all a bit tired.

The kitchen was reasonably well equipped although there wasn't a single knife suitable for cutting meat or vegetables.

The bathrooms again could do with an update, the stained shower curtain upstairs was not very nice, there wasn't even a loo brush upstairs.

The massive garage was the best thing with plenty of room to keep bikes and store anything.

All in all with a few improvements this could be a great house but for us there were too many negatives.

Very pleased

The location was great. A short walking distance into the town and great easy access to the mountains. The size and space of the property was also great, especially for cyclists. The garage for storing bikes is massive. Great washing and wifi facilities too. Sorry to say that the property was not very clean on arrival. Cobwebs in the toilet and bedrooms; this can easily be resolved.

Perfect base for (cycling) holidays

Staying for one week in this cosy house offered us the perfect base for cycling in this area.

rooms: we (8 adults and 2 little kids) found in 3 sleeping rooms and 1 living room (which we used for sleeping for some days) enough space for all couples. As we did with the 2 toilets and 3 showers. Two of the bathrooms were quite new and modern. We had to take bed linen with us, blankets and pillows were provided.

We found a fully equipped kitchen with big fridge, water cooker, 2 coffee brewers, micro wave and dish washer. A washing machine and – essential during the Euro 2016 - a TV completed the furniture. Furthermore the provided free Wifi was working perfect.

outside: we used the spacious garage for preparing/maintaining our bikes. Parking of 4 cars (1 in front of the garage, 3 cars besides the house) were no problem.

The garden offered us a sheltered place (with shadow on the hot days) for relaxing on the beach chairs or taking lunch/dinner outside on the big wooden table. The owner provided 2 BBQ grills (charcoal and gas).

contact: the contact and booking (via this portal, initially via email) was prompt, the payment handling was correct. After paying a deposit via bank transfer (to France) and receiving the confirmation letter via post the rest of the rent had to be payed 1 month in prior.

The description of the house was very precise. Before arrival we got a contact number for any problems.

location: near the heart of the village, only 5 mins to walk to the bakery (open 7 days a week), the only playground is only 2 mins to walk. Only a 5 min drive to reach the next big supermarket. Market on every Saturday.

The owner getting (slightly) injured the same day of our arrival left us waiting for more than an hour which was the only negative but comprehensible aspect.

summary: perfect base for our activity/leisure holiday (cycling, hiking) with children in the proximity of the village center.

Prima uitvalbasis voor fietsen!

Woning schoon. Zeer grote garage geschikt om racefietsen in te zetten. Prima tijd gehad met zn even in dit huis. Goed contact met eigenaar. Helaas geen wifi. Zeker aanrader!
