I am a father and grandfather. I love the river because it is a great way to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy Chattanooga nightlife and family fun in the city! I am a restoration artist for houses in North Chattanooga!
This property is the perfect vacation spot for many reasons! Who doesn't love the river and the summer sun? Swimming all day then laying out to dry in the sun. The pavilion is perfect for grilling dinner after a long day on the water!
I will take you out for a ride on my pontoon boat! We also have free paddle boards and kayaks for vacation rentals.
Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband, clean & cozy apartment on the river, close to downtown! Would recommend :)
We booked this condo for a weekend getaway. We were not disappointed! Mr. Gorrell greeted us in the driveway and apologized for the dust from the prep work getting done for a new concrete parking lot. The large couch accommodated sleeping for one of our teens and we brought a blow up mattress for our other. I preferred to use ours to make sure the one available didn't get damaged. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable! We all enjoyed the kayaks and took them out several times. We loved that for a pet fee we could bring our dog. A scooper was available in the yard which was nice. The only recommendation I could make is steps going down from this unit. It was a bit steep we just had to take it slowly because our shoes were slick. The bug spray that was available was much needed and very appreciated!! We would love to come back and maybe utilize the property more. It would be fun to have family rent the other units and hang out, fish, grill and use the fire pit. Chattanooga is a short trip. We enjoyed the rocktober fest at Rock City, walking around Chattanooga, and the wonderful restaurants. Blue Plate had a tasty dinner, Milk and Honey for a variety of many choices for breakfast, and Cheeseburger cheeseburger is a fun family restaurant. There are so many things to do in Chattanooga. We enjoyed all of the sculptors and fountains. It's a very safe, clean town and we walked everywhere once we parked. We took an alternative route home and went apple picking at the Red Apple Barn in Ellijay. Our teenagers had a great trip and we look forward to going back and making more memories!!
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend getaway and the condo couldn't have been better. It is in a perfect location - an 8-minute drive to downtown, but on the water. The accommodations were great. We loved having paddle boards and kayaks available to us any time we wanted to use them. And the bonfire at night was the icing on the cake. Loved it! Will definitely be back.
The location of this place is perfect for enjoying everything this area has to offer. From the more touristy spots like Ruby Falls and Rock City, to just relaxing on the river with the kayaks and equipment provided by the property. The staff were very friendly and quick to respond to any needs we had. The family enjoyed the river access, kayaks, fishing off the docks, and enjoying the great views!
This place was great. We had a gorgeous view of the river, and unlimited access to kayaking and paddle boarding. It was so close to downtown. Perfect location and very relaxing and fun!
This was our first stay at River Canyon. We will definitely return. We stayed for 3 wonderful days before our kids return to school in 2 weeks! We have an 11 yr old and 17 year old and it's sometimes hard to find a place both enjoy--we found it! We kayaked, swing from the rope, and got the opportunity to just unwind from a bustling summer. I've already been looking into our dates for next summer! Thank you Ray and staff for helping us make memories and take memories!!
