The Villa is located in Gáldar, a quiet city that has all the services and away from the crowded tourist areas. The Villa has a private pool, garden of 300 m2, fruit trees, ... All in a quiet environment and overlooking the sea. The location is perfect for moving around the city center, just 10 minutes walk from the historic center. You can also find nearby: restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and the Cueva Pintada museum. at 1.3 km beaches.

Gáldar is a small town of 20,000 thousand inhabitants, it was the first capital of Gran Canaria, because the ancient Canaries reigned in this area, today you can visit one of the most important archaeological museums of the Canary Islands, in which You can discover how the Canaries lived before the Spanish conquest, with 3D film projections, and the old town of more than 100 houses and the cave painting that gives its name "La Cueva Pintada". In the north of Gran Canaria, there are many rural houses or houses on the coast, but my house offers differences from them, it is that walking you have all the services that will make your holidays more comfortable, to great restaurants with typical Canarian food and very economical, a municipal market, with fruit, meat, vegetables, fresh fish, pharmacy, health center, area where you can have a drink, park for children and live music, a strategic town to visit the whole island.

Fabulous Holiday Home

The Villa is fantastic, the garden wonderful, the pool gorgeous. Everything was just right. The quality of the accommodation was very good and there was everything needed for a great holiday. The variety of seating/eating areas was superb, even a shower/toilet/washbasin and kitchen area down by the pool! The view is beautiful (and is just as the photo shows). There is even a resident Cat who provided many amusing moments and is very friendly.

Do not be put off by the strange position of the villa - we wondered what we had come to when we arrived along a single track road lined with odd "breeze block" walls and banana fields covered in protective materials. Once through the front door you are in another world! If you want a holiday without noise, away from the busy towns, this place is ideal. We drove all around the Island, seeing the bars, crowded and chips..... and it was wonderful to return to the peace and quiet, fabulous facilities, glorious pool and just relax. Veray and his Father were extremely helpful but not intrusive. We will return!

Very comfortable property in nice town.

We enjoyed our stay in Galdar very much. The property was just as described and very homely. The outside eating areas, garden and pool were particularly good. Yerey and family were all very considerate and helpful. We didn't hire a car and found the local bus service very good. Trips to Las Palmas city (old town in particular) and various other local seaside spots were enjoyed.

The hot water mentioned in previous reviews has obviously been sorted as we had not problems at all with hot water.

10 minute walk to Galdar town brought lots of cafes' and bars and weekly market in the lovely square.

Owner's Response: We enjoy these comments, and we feel, much if someone has had a bad time in our homes, because we know that is to make you illusions with the few holidays we have a year, and you can ruin small details, every negative comment we see As a challenge, such as the incorporation of solar panels to heat the pool, is not at high temperature but is no longer as cold as the comments we had, we changed the armchair unlike a new one, all the indications is always good to improve , these guests, from the beginning were very happy, I am so happy to me and my parents, they would have such a good time, and we also want to send a warm greeting and return when they want to have our contacts. Best regards.

Well Appointed Apartment

Unfortunately the weather was terrible during our stay - most unusual - I’m sure the Apartment (not a villa) would be excellent for outdoor living, but just too cold during our stay and the uncomfortable sofa meant we sat on the bed and read during the evening. The upstairs apartment noise travelled downstairs easily given tiled floors. The satellite TV has 2/3 English news channels only. There is enough hot water for only one and a half showers at a time, The “travel”kettle was frustratingly small. This would be disappointing if the Apartment was fully occupied

Nicholas was most helpful on arrival and provided a bottle of wine chocolates and fruit. The Place was very clean throughout with some good supplies of tea,coffee, sugar, oil and herbs for cooking

Owner's Response: Verdaderamente con el tiempo no podemos hacer nada, es verdad que la semana que estuvieron fue la peor. Normalmente la gente suele sentarse en la terrazas para leer, el sillón para sofa ver la tele normal. La televisión si tiene par de canales de todos los idiomas, termo tendremos que revisarlo porque no es normal.

Fabulous outside space

The outside patio, gardens and pool area are beautiful. Plenty of seating in sun or shade and great sea views across to Tenerife. This is an apartment, rather than a house, but has private use of the gardens and pool. The area is a little run down, but the owners have made a really good job of designing and furnishing the apartment. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The owners provided very good directions and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We visited in December, and overall we would say perhaps this apartment would be better in summer. There is not enough comfortable seating indoors - only one sofa that seats 3 - but the apartment sleeps 5. We found in the evenings we struggled to all be able to sit down. In summer you would be outside, but in December this was an issue for us. Also, at best only 2 people could have a hot shower each day. The shower is temperamental and quickly runs out of hot water. As for the area, Galdar is a very authentic Spanish town, we loved going for a coffee or a beer by the Square, which we kind of earned after the walk up the hill! Also Puerto de las Nieves is fabulous - a great place to watch the sunset! (We had dinner at Ragu - an amazing Italian restaurant serving fantastic fish dishes). Finally, we did the drive to Puerto Morgan (beautiful) and Tejede (awe inspiring). They were both great days out but each around a 90 minute drive. Highly recommend house and area, almost perfect.

Well furnished property, excellent location for Galdar. The property well presented ideally situated

A short walk takes you to Galdar town with its many shops and restaurants. A genuine living working Canarian town. Away from the tourist trap, you emerse your self in the place. The friendliness of the people is instantly felt. The enjoyment of hearing The local people enjoy the the company of friends and family was a joy.
