Perfect location, great house

This was an unusually good experience. The house is beautiful and nicely restored with fabulous antiques. Actually larger than I expected and located near everything I wanted to be near. Very clean with comfy sheets, etc. TV was Netflix only with no regular cable and the bed wasn't really a queen size but a full size. It really didn't matter to me but those things might matter to you. Tiffany the manager and Hollis the owner were great to deal with. Will stay there every time I visit Louisville.

Beautiful Cherokee Triangle

Staying in this beautiful old house was a pleasure. Our thanks go to Hollis, Franklin and Tiffany for making the apartment so comfortable and welcoming. Begin with help getting our luggage, etc., up the stairs to the second floor. The ceilings in this house are very tall (one of the many charms of the place), requiring quite a few steps to reach the second floor where we found a lovely coffee cake, coffee, milk, fruit, etc. , in the kitchen. Really nice not to have to worry about breakfast the next morning.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook, but if you wish to eat out you will find many restaurants to choose from just a few blocks away. The property is well stocked with necessary paper goods and soap. We were there a month and it was great having a large washer and dryer in the apartment.

Crescent Hill Cemetery is just up the street and Cherokee Park is a short walk away. Add to that it is an easy walk into NuLu and Butchertown. The location is great for walkers and we loved walking the neighborhood and looking at the wonderful architecture, but for those who prefer to drive, it is easy access to many parts of the city and we always found parking on the street available.

We very much enjoyed the property but having the opportunity to meet Hollis, Franklin and Tiffany (and Tiffany's husband whose name I cannot remember but who helped us with our luggage) was what really made the experience the exceptional pleasure that it was.

Charming and immaculate!

The house is built in the late 19th century and the apartment takes the entire 2nd floor. It is filled with antique furniture, has two sitting rooms, a small kitchen, a large bedroom and a more-than-adequate bathroom. Everything was clean and well decorated. Our only suggestions are:

1. The bedroom needs a second chair (currently, it has only one chair and that one is so low that nobody older than 65 can get up from it without help); 2. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, but it would be helpful to add some bread place and small bowl (the size adequate for grapefruit or berries).

Other than that, we found everything charming and wonderfully enjoyable. If we go to Louisville, KY again, we will try to book the same place.

Great property in a wonderful historic downtown neighborhood of Louisville.

I spent a month in this fabulous historic home - temporary housing for a corporate move. The property manager and owner were wonderful. I was greeted when I arrived with helping hands to carry several suitcases up the stairway to the second floor apartment. The owner had an assortment of snacks and coffee waiting for me. I can't say enough about how well I was treated while there. The owner even installed a large flat screen TV for me. Note: the home does not have cable hooked up but I was able to access the internet. Very safe and walkable neighborhood with quaint and eclectic shops, pubs and restaurants all within a few miles of downtown.

Perfect for our three night stay!

What a gem of a place! It's conveniently located to downtown Louisville and is in walking distance of some great restaurants. The apartment is vintage beautiful, perfect for our stay! Tiffany checked us in without a hitch and was very welcoming and we met the owner, Hollis, who could not have been more gracious! We would love to return to Louisville and we would definitely choose to stay in this beautiful place! Yes, yes, yes!

Such a beautiful apartment........and neighborhood

My husband and I needed to make a trip to Louisville, Kentucky (end of March first few days of April, 2016) and after doing some searches on VRBO, I found this wonderful apartment. The apartment is located in the beautiful Cherokee Triangle neighborhood. Tiffany our apartment representative could not have been nicer nor more helpful. After scheduling our arrival, we pulled up to this lovely home and were just so happy. My husband and I both love older homes and this was not a disappointment. The rooms have at least 12-15 foot ceilings and the décor was just beautiful. He had the car during the day as he was working so I put on my walking shoes and wandered around exploring. I ended up on Market street and found lovely boutique shops and great restaurants. This area is beginning to develop so enjoy. I would strongly recommend Bucks restaurant, the Brown Hotel and Lillies off of Bardstown road (great bars and restaurants as well and only a couple of blocks from the apartment). Do go to Jacks on Bardstown Rd. for a night cap (Bourbon of course).

The garden in the back of the house is just beautiful as well and I wish we could see it when it's in full bloom. The scent of lilacs was everywhere when we arrived. If you are in need of a lovely place to stay, please do not hesitate.....you will not be disappointed. The location is just perfect. Do wander around the neighborhood as the homes throughout Cherokee Triangle are just beautiful. So much history. The owner had a book of the history of Cherokee Triangle and the home we stayed in was pictured within the book. We did not get a chance to meet the owner but Tiffany represented her well.
