The Bungalette "Garage Apartment" was once a mechanics garage which was built in front of a livery stable. Early motorized cars would pull up for service from the first "full service" station located in Eureka Springs. Gas was only a few coins per gallon when this station opened, and it is amazing to relax here and imagine the early automobiles that must have come in for all sorts of repairs.

The Bungalette is a bright and sunny queen studio situated on the upper Historic Loop in Eureka Springs. Guests can walk to the nearby art galleries and restaurants, or enjoy the secluded patio space that makes this studio the perfect retreat. A large open kitchenette and unique patio create an indoor/outdoor living experience.

On-street parking available directly in front of unit. There are multiple trolley stops along the street. Downtown is only 3 blocks down the hill. There are numerous cab companies in town, so enjoy the walk downhill through town and if you find your legs weary after a day of shopping and dining, catch a cab home.

The Bungalette shares its outdoor patio with the Bungalow next door. Although, there is plenty of shared deck space.

The Bungalow next door is larger with a living room and an extra-large bedroom. King Bed and a full kitchen - Rent both the Bungalow and Bungalette and receive 15% off both units. (request details).

Note: This studio does not have WiFi.

Cozy and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from our weekend get away! What a wonderful property. When we opened the doors, we were not disappointed. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our first night, we were unable to get the cable working, made a phone call and got a quick response. The nice young man was unable to fix the issue but it was resolved by the next day. (It must have been a cable company issue.) It's hard to narrow down what we enjoyed the most: the decor...the location to downtown...the new deck...trolley stop one block down...the comfy bed...or maybe Ermilio's right down the street! One suggestion is definitely follow the directions which are emailed to you because plugging it into your GPS will not get you to the right location! I would highly recommend this property and plan on staying here again on our next visit to Eureka.

Quaint and pleasant!

  • 4 of 5

This is a great and cute location for a couple. Our friends stayed next door so we enjoyed the shared patio. We selected to eat at local establishments, however, kitchen was adequate for those choosing to prepare a meal.

Suggestions- quick refrigerator repair to elevate occasional noise and consider providing a "quick guide" for your guests of local establishments w/I minutes of the property including closest store (Oscars for breakfast is great example),

We will recommend this location and hope to visit Eureka again!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review! See you soon. We'll check on the fridge noise. Also, we recommend using Trip Advisor or Yelp to find dining when traveling... those sites are the perfect way to find the best dining near any lodging. Their map and rating system is very accurate - and you can typically see the menu on the site!

What a sweet property! Everything needed except Wi-Fi, but that was point to unplug and relax. Roomy and comfortable, can directly out front street, could property for larger group. Easy location to and eateries. Will definitely stay here again!

Great location, nicely furnished studio

  • 4 of 5

The bungalette was a perfect place to stay in terms of walking coveinience to town. The studio was clean, and a fun mix of antique and eclectic furnishings. I especially liked the bathroom door! We were also happy for the convenience of a grill. We were missing a remote for the TV and the owners responded to my request promptly and brought us another one immediately.

I imagine maintenence on a place like this is always an issue, but I would have enjoyed spending more time on the deck if it would have had some flowers and maintained a bit more. Overall it's a fantastic place to stay and we really liked Eureka Springs! Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We will work on adding some fluff to the deck area. It makes a great conversation area, and I agree, some added flowers would give it a softer look.

A bit disappointed !

  • 3 of 5

When we arrived the key code did not work for this property.

We tried the box on the other property and key code worked but key did not open door to the rental. We discovered later in day the key in box on our rental was for the other property.

Very frustrating!

I called before the stay and provided my reservation # and asked the bed size and was told King.... Nope it was a full size bed. No where in property description does it indicate bed size and made for uncomfortable sleeping !

Additionally we stayed three nights, if you want fresh towels you will need to bring extra. We were provided 3 towels for two adults and three wash cloths.

The unit was very hot once got access- has window unit it took several hours to cool.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. We are disappointed that we missed your expectations. In the future, please give the owner or property manager a call so that they have the opportunity to make things right with you. I believe a phone call would have solved all your disappointments. All of our units have customer accessible back-up key, therefore, any mix-up with an entry key would have been easy to solve. Our listing states that there is a Queen Bed in the room. There is NOT a full bed in this unit. Possibly the person you talked to was confused about the Bungalette (queen) vs the Bungalow (king). Regardless the Bungalette has a Queen Bed. I apologize if our communication was incorrect. Customer Satisfaction is our goal! We could have provided you a back-up key, relocated you to a King Bed, and the housekeepers would have brought more towels. We have a 24 hour answering service and full time housekeeping and maintenance. If you've go a problem, we'll solve it. Thanks for staying with us.

Unique, charming, and affordable. A cool piece of history!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience and would definitely stay there again! Everyone in town knew where we were staying when we told them, and talked about how they remember it when it was a filling station, which was pretty cool. It met our needs perfectly, and we have nothing but good things to say about it.
