The Texaco Bungalow is a bright and sunny King multi-room suite situated on the upper Historic Loop in Eureka Springs.
This early 20th century gas station was re-purposed for overnight lodging. Guests can walk to the nearby art galleries and restaurants, or enjoy the secluded patio space that makes this large suite is the perfect retreat. A large open kitchenette and unique patio create an indoor/outdoor living experience. The living room is spacious & comfortable with an small lounging corner where you can relax, read a good book, take a nap. (note - outdoor area is shared with the Bungalette next door)
You will have access to parking, or street parking. There are multiple trolley stops along the street. Downtown is only 3 blocks down the hill. There are numerous cab companies in town, therefore, enjoy the walk downhill through town and, if you find your legs weary, catch a cab home.
The mechanics garage next door has been converted into a queen studio with high ceilings and full kitchen - Rent both the Bungalow and Bungalette and receive 15% off both units. (request details).

We have been to Eureka Springs a number of times from neighboring Bentonville, Arkansas. Have driven past the Texaco Bungalow numerous times and always thought it would be interesting to stay there from looking at it from the outside. My wife and I took an extended Labor Day trip and booked the property on line- Zero issues. Arrived and, when we opened the front door, expectations exceeded. Very clean and obviously every attempt to care for it is taken. Tons of room for 2 people, bathroom and shower a bit "cozy" but no issue. Large bedroom area with very nice living room area as well. Extensive outside decking area but we did not use. Quiet at night, only noise was was clopping of horse drawn carriages driving by. We parked our car and basically were able to walk to shopping, restaurants and areas to explore. Be aware of the hilly streets back to the bungalow. Kitchen area with stove, fridge, etc if one chose to take a meal in which we did not. No Wi-Fi but doesn't hurt to unplug for a few days, right? Lots of character in this place. Maybe some cosmetic details to attend to, Ex: cracked area in bathroom floor or chair cover on older seat in living room area but all in all a nice choice for Eureka Springs lodging. Had a few questions regarding check-in process, it is self check in with a key box, but excellent follow up in answering pre-arrival questions by e-mail. Would recommend highly for a unique Eureka experience.
This was an excellent place to stay. It is walking distance to downtown. It's on a quiet street. Perfect place to rest between Eurekan events.
I loved the property! It was perfect for a unique anniversary trip. The living room was perfect for relaxing. We were able to use the kitchen and the grill to create some great meals during our stay. The property is also located near some of the areas best restaurants. The king sized bed was great!! My husband and u are both around 6 feet tall so it was perfect. However, the small shower was not so perfect for our tall frames. Overall the property was prefect for a romantic getaway!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at the texaco bungalow. My husband really enjoyed the decor and some car books! The place was clean! It however was a little noisy but we were able to drown that out with leaving the radio on at night, which was wonderful! The only downfall is I like to park the day I arrive and not get In my car till its time to go home, the hill that you have to take to downtown was to steep after. Few walks and we ended up driving downtown, luckily it wasn't a busy weekend so parking wasn't an issue as it can be at times. Thanks again, we look forward to staying in the bungelete soon!
Charming and fun property in walking distance of shopping and dining and a short drive to more fun. Very comfortable place. Arrangements were easy to make. One warning: the shower is pretty small. Not a big problem unless you're a big person.
