About the property

The apartment is beautifully decorated and offers 2 comfortable double bedrooms and a spacious and bright living room. Located on a quiet residential street and within an easy walk of Earl’s Court and Fulham Road it is the perfect base if you want to discover central London and especially the surrounding Kensington and Chelsea area!

The apartment is very spacious and bright and set on the first floor of a two storey building in a very quiet residential street. It is comprised of a very comfortable living room with plenty of light and an eat-in kitchen. Down the hall on the right you will find the master bedroom that has a king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower. Near the entrance you will find the second bedroom that has a comfortable double bed as well as a second bathroom with bath opposite.

Please note that the apartment is on the 1st floor and accessible via stairs only.

You will have access to all amenities provided in the apartment as well as having the apartment to yourself during your stay.

All guests are provided with clean sheets, bath towels, hand towels as well as basic bathroom supplies.

The apartment has Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the apartment that guests can use during their stay - please note that the connection in the area is not very fast.

We will meet you upon your arrival to make sure you feel comfortable with the apartment, to show you around and to hand over the keys.

The apartment is located very close to Fulham Road which is known in Chelsea for its bars, restaurants and boutique stores. Earl’s Court is also within an easy 10 minute walk of the apartment and offers a number of good bars and stores as well as Earl’s Court tube station. Kensington High Street can be reached by foot within 20 minutes and a number of attractions are also close by such as Chelsea’s famous King’s Road or the London museums in South Kensington.

Travelling from Heathrow airport:

Option 1 – Catch the Heathrow express train in the airport and go to Paddington Station. From there either get an Uber/Taxi or get on the tube. Catch the District or Circle line tube (Green or Yellow) down to Earl’s Court and get a 3 minute taxi ride from there.

Option 2 – Catch the Piccadilly line tube in the airport and get off at Earl’s Court and get a 3 minute taxi ride from there. This is by far the most economical option but it’s not the fastest or most comfortable option especially if you have a family and a lot of luggage.

Option 3 – Get a taxi or an Uber from the airport. Depending on the hour of the day it’s actually not that far and is more economical if you are a large family. Count on about 1 hour for this trip.

Travelling from Gatwick airport:

Option 1 – Catch the train in the airport – this can either be the Gatwick Express or a local train. You can either A. get off at Clapham Junction and get the Overground to West Brompton (2 stops) and it’s a 5 minute walk from there. OR B. You can get off at Victoria station and get the District line tube to Earl’s Court and get a 3 minute taxi from there.

Option 2 – Get a taxi or Uber from the airport. Count of about 1 hour for this trip.

Getting around: The apartment is a 10 minutes walk from Fulham Broadway tube station (District Line) and Earl’s Court tube station (District and Piccadilly line) and 20 minutes walk from Kensington High Street and the largest London museums such as the Victoria and Albert museum, the Natural History museum or the Science museum. A number of buses are also available just around the corner from the apartment which will take you directly to places such as Harrods, Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus, King’s Road, Sloane Square, Victoria Station, Parliament, Waterloo, Notting Hill Gate and Portobello Road.

Hey I'm Jan!

I'm a Londoner at heart and have a love for travel and a high expectancy when it comes to quality accommodation. I've always felt that as a host one should always offer the best! I also speak Italian, Spanish and French and of course English! So don't hesitate in getting in touch, I'm always ready to help!

I currently manage a number of properties that have been trusted to me from friends and family. I personally make sure that the apartments are always properly taken care off and are professionally cleaned prior to the guest’s arrival. Linen, toiletries, towels and a few welcome essentials are there on arrival to ensure guests are made to feel at home.

I also make sure guests are met upon arrival and are shown around the apartment and given all relevant local tips on places to shop, go out, transport links, etc. so as to make sure guests get to experience the space and area as a real local would. Please note that I am also always available and contactable during the guest's stay if any help is needed. I'm always around to help!

A nice refuge for families in London

I would actually rate this 4.5 stars but the site doesn’t allow for 1/2 stars. We recently stayed at this cute and comfortable flat in London. It was clean and well appointed, perfect for my family of four. With two teenage boys, having the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were essential to ensuring our stay was carefree and smooth (no fighting for the bathrooms).

The flat is bright with wonderfully high ceilings. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a more residential part of the city, but still very convenient. It’s a very short walk to the Earl’s Court tube station so you can easily get to virtually any part of the city either directly or by transferring to another line. Local restaurants and markets are also a short walk from the flat.

Everything was easy and our host was great about providing guidance and communicating in a timely manner with me. Instructions, that highlighted local sites and explained how to use the dishwasher, washing machine, etc., were left for us in a binder. This helped answer any questions we had.

The only issue we had was there were people coming home from the local pub one Friday evening after watching the World Cup and it got a bit noisy. It didn’t last long so it was just a minor nuisance on a night we were tired from seeing the sights all day. This is why I knocked 1/2 star from my rating. Of course, this was by no fault of the host.

Overall, I would highly recommend this flat for anyone looking for a clean and spacious flat for a family. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This is an outstanding flat. We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

We were traveling with our two granddaughters and the flat had lots of room. Especially nice to have 2 bathrooms. The flat is bright, high ceilings and big windows. It was warm during our visit and the flat gets a very nice cross breeze. Comfortable bed and pillows, appliances worked great, well appointed kitchen, TV worked - important during world cup. Very close to Fulham Road with shops and good bus lines running. Not as convenient for the Tube but we took the bus or Uber everywhere so we didn't miss using the Tube. Great visit to London.

Would recommend this property to anyone.

Our stay was from May 9-23, 2018. The location is excellent, only 10 minute walk to the tube, restaurants, and Tesco Express for groceries. The bus stop is only a four minute walk. Infield Rd. is a quiet residential street. The apartment worked well with four people and was on a corner allowing more windows for light.

The beds are comfortable and the showers are great. We needed more instructions on the washer/dryer. Being from the US we didn't understand how to use the coffee maker so we used instant coffee.

We would love to return some day.

Wonderful getaway in Chelsea/ South Kensington neighborhood of London

We had a wonderful time in London. The flat was a great space to come back to after a full day of sightseeing in the city. It's in a quiet and posh neighborhood in west London close to markets, restaurants, cafes and city transit. It was a great location to explore London with easy access to the city buses as well as the tube. 2 BR 2 BA flat was ideal for our family with loads of space to relax. It was great to have WiFi internet to plan our next day's excursions. Jan and his colleagues were very accommodating with check in and check out. He also touched base mid week to make sure we didn't need anything during our stay. In short, we loved our trip to London and the flat made it that much better. I would definitely book this flat again if our travel plans bring us back to London.

We had a wonderful time at 59 Ifield Road

Our two weeks stay on Ifield Road was just wonderful. We were two couples and each couple enjoyed their own bedroom and bath (with heated tile floors). During our stay, we mastered the 14 and 211 bus and used that more than the tube from Earls Court. (The walk to Earls Court was just under a mile).

The flat was beautifully equipped with anything that we could possibly need and the managers, Sole and Jan were responsive to our every needs. When we come back to London, #59 will definitely be our first choice as a place to stay. Hugh and Judy
