Coastal View House is a high quality 5 bedroom (4 with sea views), 3 bathroom spacious detached chalet Bungalow, set above Castlerock and in a designated "Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty".
The property is a luxury base for exploring the Causeway Coastal Route (one of the Worlds greatest Road Journeys) which sites include Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery. Downhill Demesne and Mussenden Temple (one of the most photographed sights in Ireland) are a short distance away and can be viewed from the house and decking. At the end of Burrenmore Road is the Blue Flag Downhill Beach - lifeguard manned (seasonal) and a further two Blue Flag beaches Benone and Castlerock are close by.
Coastal View House is set in 3/4 acre of private garden and with one of the best coastal views in Ireland, the property has a large Kitchen/Dining/Living area with double sided wood burning stove and floor to ceiling patio doors leading to a large decking area and additional lounge also with wood burning stove.The property has underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.
For indoor entertainment there is a table tennis room and media/library area complete with books, DVDs, games, jigsaws and HiFi. Both living areas have large flat screen televisions and DVD players. Each bedroom has a television with the exception of the twin room.
The 5 Bedrooms consist of 2 King Bedrooms, 2 Double Bedrooms and 1 Twin Bedroom. There are 3 Bathrooms plus one additional toilet.
Outdoors there are 3 lawn areas, a terrace and large decking area complete with garden furniture, charcoal BBQ for dining alfresco or sit back on the outdoor sofa and enjoy the beautiful view over Portstewart Bay, Portrush and Fairhead, the Scottish Isles can also be seen from the house and decking on clear days. There is a badminton net and practise putting area. A dry room with separate entrance with underfloor heating for storing coats and walking shoes. Plus Ample parking for 8 plus cars.
Local activities include golf, walking, fishing (sea and lake) cycling, horse riding including beach rides, surfing (including surf school) beach karting, segways on the beach and the Northern Ireland Gliding Club is also nearby and offers lessons and glides.
The Northern Lights are notoriously hard to predict but they have been a frequent visitor to Northern Ireland of late & we have been lucky enough to view them from the house decking, Downhill beach is also a 5 minute drive away, giving superb Aurora watching opportunities being completely free from light pollution. The best viewing time in Ireland is usually from November to February somewhere between 9pm and 1am
Castlerock is on the train line to both the walled city of L'derry and Belfast the capital of Northern Ireland.
A short drive from the house will take you to Magilliagan where a car ferry can take you to Donegal (15 minute seasonal crossing), linking the Wild Atlantic Way to the Causeway Coast.
The minimum stay is 3 nights, however 2 nights will be considered depending on availability. High season bookings are for a minimum of 7 nights, please contact for further details.
