About Chloe & Nicky
I have worked in the Food Industry for my entire career. In Research & Development, Business Development and now Export. I look after customers all over the world and with that I get to travel abroad occasionally. It goes without saying I love good food, travel, different cultures, and meeting people. I bought our family cottage in a rural location in the Brecon Beacons 4 years ago close to where my family have lived for over 30 years? I have 2 sons and 1 daughter, and my eldest son has now flown the nest. Last year (2015) I had the idea that I could share this beautiful location with others and when the opportunity came up to purchase a second cottage 'Poppy Cottage' (named after my daughter Poppy) became a reality. This is my first time in hosting guests but I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying welcoming all our lovely guests. Ultimately all we want is for Poppy Cottage to feel completely like home from the moment of arriving. I consider myself very lucky working in Export that I get to do my job almost everyday from such a beautiful place and now I can share it with others as well :) perfect!
Chloe & Nicky purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Chloe & Nicky chose Monmouthshire
It is rare to discover such a location that you could bypass easily without ever realising it was there. The tranquility and beauty of the rural surroundings is magnificent. Take a walk up to the viaduct and along the cycle path and you have views right across the beacons. This place is truly a hidden gem, a getaway unique.

We had a short and enjoyable stay at Poppy Cottage. Owner was very helpful and great to have freshly baked bread, milk, eggs, Welsh cakes, and wine waiting for us. Kids liked the selection of DVDs.
Cute little cottage
This was perfect for a short stay and great for exploring the Brecon Beacons. We were welcomed with fresh bread and a few other essentials including complimentary toiletries, which was a lovely touch.

Poppy Cottage, Clydach
Wonderful cottage, warm and comfortable, with a freshly-baked loaf waiting for us. Great area for walking, and exploring the rich industrial heritage from 200 years ago. Highly recommended.
Beautiful cottage, had everything we needed. Lovely personnel touches and would recommend to anyone
Stayed for the weeekned as we were in Abergavenny for the food festival. Didn't have a chance to explore the area properly but we loved staying in the cottage. Had everything we needed, from milk in the fridge on arrival to toiletries to lovey clean linen and home made bread!
Lovely welcoming cottage
A cosy cottage in a good location for walks in the Brecon beacons. Nicky was very communicative and we really appreciated the fresh bread and eggs on arrival :)
