This lovely two-story Santa Cruz vacation rental has everything to make your vacation a winning one. Enjoy the ocean breezes from two decks. Your worries will be just a memory in no time.

Just two miles from lovely Capitola and four miles from Santa Cruz proper, this home is just minutes from the beach and your chance to surf!

This chic three-bedroom, dog-friendly home has a reverse floor plan with the bedrooms on ground level and the living room on the second floor. It may feel odd to some, but it works after a long day of sightseeing around town.

The great room is large and inviting with a plush couch and chair to sooth tired muscles. Start a cozy fire and enjoy the warmth on a cool winter's night. A sliding glass door leads to a outdoor deck perfect for entertaining or savoring a glass of wine after dinner. The cable TV and free WiFi guarantee fun movie nights or simple evenings listening to music.

Speaking of dinner, you'll be crafting a pleasing repast in no time at the gourmet kitchen! A granite-topped island, two-seat breakfast bar, and stainless steel appliances dominate the space but you'll have no problem entertaining in the eight-seat formal dining room. Prep for dinner at the gorgeous half bath just down the hall.

Each of the bedrooms affords guests a wealth of space and light. The master features a king bed and a large walk-in closet as well as a door to the outdoors. An attached bathroom has dual vanities and a stand-alone shower and tub that are a sight to behold. A second bedroom boasts a queen bed and rustic furniture, while a third bedroom offers a full bunk bed. There's also a second full bath with a stand-alone shower just down the hall. Retreat to the second-floor sitting room, to the comfy red couch and a flatscreen TV. You'll also have access to a second deck with a gas grill and dinette set.

A washer and dryer, a ping-pong table, and bikes are on hand for your enjoyment. Up to two dogs are welcome as well,though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply.

Santa Cruz is known for its beautiful scenery and as a rock-climbing and surfing mecca. Head to the water to test your skills on a board or take a hike around Wilder Ranch State Park. You'll feel invigorated and recharged in no time.

Excellent Location, Beautiful Home

This house was perfect for our family getaway during Memorial Day weekend. It was spacious and located close to the beach. And the bonus was that it was dog-friendly with a fully enclosed yard. The porch at the front of the house was great for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The beach is a couple of minutes away by foot, and the closest store is nearby on Cliff Dr.

The only complaints: the stove was funky as it did not have any dials and we needed to use the lighter in the drawer to light the burners. To Vacasa's credit, they called us to see if we needed repair but we were able to figure it out. One other concern: there is a lot of traffic noise on the road towards the back of the house, so the windows need to be closed at night (which unfortunately shuts out the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach, easily heard otherwise!)

Other than that, this is a gorgeous and well-stocked home close the beach. Highly recommended for a relaxing escape!

Great experience.

The property was very nice. Beds were comfortable and kitchen and bathrooms were spacious. Loved the location and parking was ample. Nice to have wagon and beach toys provided. More towels would have been nice. Management failed to bring correct size garbage bags. Some lighting and plumbing issues to be addressed. Definitely feel a need for a television in main living area. Overall I would recommend.
