Jim And Jodie reached out to me within the hour after my booking. The house was very clean and the location was very quite. It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We loved how easy everything was. Thank you
This cabin is a real home away from home! We had a full family Christmas celebration and dinner at this space. It could not have been more comfortable. Everything is provided. The owners have really done their research on what people like when they stay somewhere, and they have spared no detail. It is hard to put my finger on my favorite part of this property because it was a 5 all the way around. But if I must pick a favorite part, it is the owners' pet friendly policy. There were even blankets, towels and bowls for four legged guests. In our family, our pets are family members, so this made a big difference to us. Also, the owners found items we had left behind and made arrangements to return them to us. And my deposit was refunded very promptly. All around, we were very satisfied. We had the most memorable holiday celebration we have had in years at this property, even though we were not at home. We felt like it.
We loved this cabin get away. Even though half of our group backed out at the last minute it would have easily had enough room for all four of us and the two dogs.
The cabin is well equipped for pets and our Basset hound loved playing in the horse corral and walking around the trails in the gardens.
We are big BBQ ers so the grill got plenty of use and worked out great. I do wish I could have figured out how to turn on the spot light out side the back door, but everything worked out fine.
We look forward to booking our next trip.
We recently had a great 5 night stay and were totally happy with everything. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well appointed. They've done nice things with the yard. The location is quiet and private. It was as advertised, though was actually a bit larger than we anticipated. Having the washer and dryer was a bonus. And the outdoor propane BBQ was a real plus. We did not plan to cook a lot on this trip, but found the kitchen had everything we needed. If we were doing more cooking on this trip (we are big cooks), we would have liked to have better knives (just something we are picky about) but the knives were certainly adequate. We didn't use the wi-fi or TV, but always nice to have those options. The reading lights in the living room could be brighter, but they were adequate and the ones in the bedroom were great.
We have frequently used VRBO, and this was another good experience. We often travel with our dog, and this cabin felt particularly pet welcoming. Reba was very happy. : ) We didn't have any difficulties during our stay, but felt certain that Jim and Jodie would be responsive if we needed anything. And as it turned out, I lost an earring while there and we also left our tablecloth behind. Jodie found the earring (!!) and shipped it back to us along with the table cloth. She was so nice about doing this.
This is a great location with so many choices of things to do close by. We certainly hope to return as there are many places to explore - we would definitely stay at this cabin again. We also appreciated take out food nearby. The BBQ place is just minutes away. We also loved Cuccia's (I think I have that right), only about 10 minutes away. Looked like a great menu, but we just wanted take-out pizza. REALLY good pizza, even though we picked it up 2 hours before we were going to eat and re-heated it in a hot oven.
We were sorry not to see recycling options. We asked around town and learned that the recycling transfer station (easy to find) is only open on weekends. That didn't work for us, so we carried the bulk of our recycling home. Not a big deal, and better than it going to the landfill.
This is a great place!
We enjoyed our two night stay at the Cromberg cabin very much. Everything was as advertised (including the potential odor of the water supply that was noted in the rental agreement). We brought water for drinking and for our morning coffee and it was fine. The cabin was comfortable and spotless. We’ve been staying in VRBO properties since 2009 and Jodie and Jim are the most responsive hosts we’ve ever had. It is obvious from all of the little touches, from the flowers outside to the towel racks in the bathroom and the fishing lure thermometer on the front porch that a lot of thought and care have gone into every detail. The cabin is dog friendly including pet bowls and dog towels. We would highly recommend this cabin for a couple, either alone or with one or two children. Whatever the size of your party, don’t miss the light switch in the second bedroom. We laughed out loud at the ingenious solution to an annoying design problem. Well done! We also appreciated the reading materials in the cabin, particularly the Discovery Trails of Plumas County and the History of Plumas County. We took one of the discovery trails to the Butterfly Valley Botanical Area and it was time well spent. We had a wonderful stay and strongly recommend the cabin. Thank you Jodie and Jim.
This cozy cabin in Cromberg is ideal for a getaway in the woods!! The property is picture perfect tucked back in a quiet location surrounded by beautiful pine trees!! The place is fully stocked with dishes, bedding, and everything necessary for a comfortable stay!
What a great stay we had! This cabin is everything listed and more. My husband and I stayed for three days, and could not have been happier. It is so clean, and very comfortable. The owners are simply amazing. They are so nice and so easy to work with! The property is gorgeous, the cabin has all of the amenities one could possibly need. We will absolutely return, no doubt about it. Highly highly recommend!!
