2 Bedroom/1 Bath historic Carriage House. Amazing location downtown.

Historic two bedroom, one bathroom carriage house, located in an historic area of Logan Circle/Shaw.

The apartment offers great location for sightseeing as well as business visits with its close proximity to downtown. The unit has two bedrooms and one bathroom on two levels of living space.

We are located in an historic area of Logan Circle/Shaw. The closest metro is 2 blocks walking distance away at Mt Vernon/7th Street Convention Center which is located on the yellow and green lines; however, we are 5-10 minutes walking distance to downtown. The neighborhood is historic and upscale and there are multiple grocery stores/restaurants within walking distance (Whole Foods; Giant; 14th Street Restaurants/Chinatown).

Our house faces historic Naylor Court and Blagden Alley, known historic alleys in Washington DC, and the entrance into our carriage house is located in the alley behind our house. We have one off street parking spot available.

Our carriage house is a separate fully renovated 2 story unit behind our 1800's built historic home. Both bedrooms are on the second floor of the carriage house. Each bedroom has plenty of space for storage and space to move around. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The couch downstairs converts to a full bed if necessary.

Clean, convenient, well-appointed!

Travis provided timely, clear and friendly communication as we planned our trip and prepared to arrive. We felt we knew what to expect and our entry, exit and stay went very smoothly. The carriage house was a little cozy for a family of five; however, we were comfortable enough! The location was wonderful: we could walk everywhere: to the Mall and it's sights, to great restaurants, to the grocery store, to the metro. Perfect!

Great house in Washington DC!

We had a great week-long stay in Washington at this carriage house. The location was perfect - close to stores and restaurants, walking distance to transportation, downtown, the Mall, and much more. The house was very comfortable and great for our family of four.

Great Rental in Best Location in DC

We had a wonderful experience in the Carriage House. It was clean, modern, and well-maintained. Anytime we had a question Travis would immediately respond and was so helpful. Best of all, the unit is located within walking distance to cutting edge neighborhood of Shaw and Logan Circle, and as well Downtown's best restaurants and night life. We would definitely return again.

We'd stay here again.

The carriage house is a great place to stay for a number of reasons. First, the location is excellent. Being in an alley between blocks it is unbelievably quiet for being in the city. It is only a few block to the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street Metro stop. If you are not getting around by Metro, then it is within easy walking distance of downtown/White House/National Mall, many restaurants, and several grocery stores. It's about a 25 minute Metro ride from National Airport. One market (for last minute items) is a block away on 10th Street, Whole Foods is a longer walk, but Giant is only a few blocks away and it is the best (and biggest) store with a great selection of everything. I would not miss El Sol Restaurante, only a block away, for very traditional Mexican food (not Tex Mex) and drinks (not a very formal place). There are liquor stores nearby as well. The second reason for staying here is the carriage house itself. Granted, it is small (listed at 1000 square feet), but it is very private. Upstairs there are two nice-sized bedrooms with enough drawers and hanger space to unpack, and the beds are very comfortable (good pillows and comforter as well). The main bedroom has great light (two windows and something like a skylight). The bathroom, also very nicely done, is between the bedrooms. There are two faucets in a long sink, so more than one person can use the bathroom at the same time. The downstairs is only about 1/2 the size as the upper floor and contains the fairly snug kitchen/dining/living area. There is a narrow outdoor area (gated) with a table and chairs for sitting, and a BBQ is also located there. The kitchen has all you need to make meals--- Good knives, pots/pans, and utensils. Everything is pretty good quality and looks nice. We ate breakfast "in" and ate our other meals out at great DC restaurants (restaurants alone are a great reason to visit this city). There are exposed brick walls, nice hardwood floors, and good lighting. The HVAC system works really well. Finally, Travis (though we never actually met face-to-face) answered emails very quickly and was great to work with. This was a great place for two adults with two children to stay. WAY better than any hotel. We would elect to come back if the opportunity presented itself.

Wonderful week in this quaint carriage house.

This perfectly located carriage house allowed us to walk to all of the best sights in DC. We spent a week here with our teenage son and daughter and found the accommodations to be perfect for us. We've stayed in HomeAway properties in several large cities around the world, and while they've all been lovely, this was the nicest by far. There is a very nice grocery 2 blocks away and a lovely place for dinner or cocktails right across the street from that. We also loved that Lincoln's Waffle House was just a 10 minute walk south on 10th. Perfect for your breakfast needs.
