Beautiful lakefront townhouse in Eastman, a four-season resort / recreational community.
Located just 20 steps from a wide, flat, sandy beach with a gentle, sloping entry into the water. Eastman has five beaches, and this one is the nicest! Unlike the beach at South Cove, only residents of our small cove have access to this beach. The proximity makes it easy to go up for snacks or lunch, or to retrieve a book, beach toys, or towel - no packing up for the entire day and hoping not to forget something. The clean, clear lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and sailing. A grassy area next to the beach has space for frisbee and playing ball, or just reading under a tree with an open view of the beautiful lake.
Shady lakeside walking and bike riding paths start at the back door to the house, with more hiking trails throughout the community.
Twelve tennis courts and an award-winning 18-hole golf course / clubhouse with full-service restaurant are within the community, just a two-minute drive from the house.
Eastman's brand new activity center has a lakeside exercise room, boat rentals, family game room, ice cream / snack bar, and indoor pool.
Close to mount sunapee, hanover / dartmouth, quechee, woodstock, and new london, for boutiques, restaurants, performing and visual arts, and additional outdoor recreation.
Please note that the townhouse has two private bedrooms plus a sleeping loft with a new trundle bed that sleeps two in side-by-side twin beds. The downstairs master bedroom has a queen bed and a full private bath; the upstairs bedroom has two twin beds and shares a full bathroom with the sleeping loft. There is a washer / dryer, dishwasher, microwave, wifi, and two small flat screen televisions, both with dvd players.
Perfect for families and nature lovers, the townhouse is fully stocked with board games, books and toys. The eastman community is active and friendly, never crowded, peaceful and relaxing. The area abounds with fairs, farms, outdoor activities and cultural opportunities - see descriptions below.

We are a family from Newton, Massachusetts and our two sons have grown up enjoying summers at Eastman.

Eastman is an amazing place to relax and recharge. There is something for everyone, whether you love the outdoors and nature or culture and shopping.
We are from California and stayed here after a family event. The house has everything we needed for a wonderful lakeside vacation. It was comfortable for our family of five and we loved the colorful decor. We enjoyed playing and swimming at the beach and being able to run back inside for snacks and bathroom. The area was lovely and quiet. We didn't get to play golf or tennis bit the facilities looked nice. Our kids liked the game room and snack stand. The owners were very helpful in providing info and brochures for activities in the area that we would not have otherwise known about. Mostly we spent time at the lake but it was fun to know about all the options nearby.
As a family of five, we discovered that the Lake Eastman townhouses were a perfect central location to explore several areas of Vermont and NH. We visited Weirs Beach, shopped in Meredith, Lebenon and Hanover, we visited Woodstock, VT and Quechee Gorge, then headed more north to Montpelier to take a tour of the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory. We ended our trip at the Mt. Sunapee Adventure park where we zipped line down Mt. Sunupee while our youngest completed the Aerial Challenge Course. And this is in addition to all the amenities that the Lake Eastman Association has to offer right out the front door when were weren't exploring. The townhouse was comfortable, clean and well stocked for supplies to pack lunches, cook breakfast and prepare dinner when were weren't out and about. Thank you Tracey and Andy for your hospitality, and thank you to Melissa from Grey Ledges Rentals for making sure we had everything we needed while we were there.
Our family stayed for a week in June and had a wonderful time. The beach was perfect for our 2 and 11 yr old boys who enjoyed swimming and digging. The condo was very clean with plenty of games and beach toys for entertainment. We also enjoyed fishing with our kayaks at night. I definitely recommend this condo for families with young children.
Five high school friends spent a long weekend here in July 2014. We couldn't have been more comfortable. Not only is the decor cheerful and upbeat, but the location is perfect. Right from the deck, we hiked 4 mies around the lake, swam in the clear water, and relaxed on the beach. Two of us went golfing while the others rented kayaks and explored. We thought that the privacy of this beach in Eastman was the best, quiet and peaceful, unlike the more crowded beaches at the rec center and other coves. We also went to Hanover for shopping and to Quechee to visit Simon Pearce. Everything in the house was clean and bright, perfect for lounging in pajamas and drinking wine.
There is so much to do in the sunapee - dartmouth area! See upper valley news, sunapee events, and more for details. We are happy to tell you about bike trails, local festivals, and more.
