Well appointed property, immaculately decorated and all appliances provided. Very comfortable for 2, quiet location but very short distance to park and ride into York. Friendly, helpful owners.

Lovely self contained annexe, roomy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. George and Jean thought of everything, lovely welcome pack, fresh flowers, anything we needed was there. Would definitely recommend, would have no hesitation staying again. Lovely apartment, very welcoming hosts.

Comfortable & well equipped. Myself, my wife & our dog spent a month in the property & felt really at home. The accommodation was cosy & relaxing, & the underfloor heating kept us warm despite the wintery weather outdoors. The village was quiet, & had a good butchers & a Costcutter supermarket, as well as a friendly pub serving meals. There is a good bus service into the centre of York. The East Coast resorts are only a pleasant hour's drive away. We would highly recommend for a stay of any length & will certainly look to stay again in the future.

Beautiful, clean, light & very much home from home annexe

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the annexe, even though only a few days. What a warm welcome we had from the owners Jean & George Firth & not forgetting Meg. We were shown round the annexe & some personal & welcoming touches were there, milk in the fridge, a bottle of wine, bowl of fresh fruit & flowers on the kitchen sill! A real home from home in a beautiful peaceful place. All in all a real holiday home. The weather was very mixed which is to be expected at this time of the year, but we enjoyed every minute & returned home very relaxed. We will definitely return to the annexe for a holiday, hopefully a longer one.
