This completely remodeled & highly upgraded condo features large open floor plan with custom wood flooring & tiled baths,, central air conditioning, large 55’ HD-TV, high speed internet with private WIFI, full size washer & dryer in unit. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, queen size bed & ceiling fan. The master bath features a spacious walk-in shower with multiple showerheads. The second bath has a large soaking tub with shower. The kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, slab granite countertops and is well stocked with all the necessities for meal preparation.

This condo has a rare feature of TWO entrances for easy access from inside the complex or to the pedestrian walkway! (One of only a handful of units in the complex with this feature)

Your stay includes access to the heated pool & spa, gym and outdoor BBQ/kitchen area; Also included are all utilities, internet WiFi, TV and taxes.

There is one designated parking space in the privet underground secure gated garage.

This Hillcrest location is ideal and within easy walking access to Trader Joe’s, Ralph’s, Whole Foods and Sprouts. It is also a short walk to many cafes, restaurants, bars, antique and boutiques shops. There is also a weekly farmers’ market each Sunday just 2 blocks from this home-away-from-home.

Balboa Park is just 6 blocks away, plus the gaslight district, downtown and PETCO field are all easily accessible via public transportation, or a short 10 minute car ride. The beaches are within a 15-minute car ride.

I travel to San Diego for business frequently and fell in love with area, it's climate and it's many other attractions. I bought the condo as my second home so I could enjoy the area when i'm not working and the snow is falling at home in Colorado.

What makes this condo unique

I selected this condo first for it's premier location, which is walkable to many restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses and local infrastructure. Secondly, I bought this particular unit because it's private entrance made it feel just like home.

Amazing condo in great location

I spent 2 months at the condo for temporary work in San Diego and don't have one negative comment. It is at a amazing location within walking distance of everything you need. There are restaurants, grocery stores, sushi, and much more. The owner was cheerful and always accommodating. The condo is well stocked for everything you think you might need: beach towels, cleaning supplies, dishes, cooking supplies, etc. The shower in the master is a huge rain shower that makes you want to stay in the condo all day. Great parking in a underground garage which is fantastic - there is even a perfect car that he rents out for a very affordable price if you need a car. The condo is homely and a very comfortable place to stay. I didn't want to leave after two months of being there.

A beautifully designed condo

As refugees from Minnesota, my partner Dianne and I always look forward to our winters in San Diego. We’ve been coming out here for over ten years. In the past we’ve rented bungalows since, we love Craftsman, as well as condos. But this year we found a winter residence that was perfect for us. Larry’s condo is beautifully appointed. The unit is light-filled, easy to maintain with a pleasant, open plan. I should add that Larry Grimaldi is an exceptional landlord, accommodating and very responsive to any questions or concerns.

The space is generous and no comfort is overlooked including the super comfortable beds, the luxury bathrooms and large flat screen TV. The unit is part of a large condo complex, but it was surprisingly quiet both day and night. Street noise wasn’t an issue at all. Since we stay for a longer period, we like to cook at home, although it’s hard to resist the dozens of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The beautifully remodeled kitchen had everything we needed to do some serious cooking.

The location is perfect. On Sundays one of the best farmers markets in town is a block away. A typical day began with a twenty-minute walk to the San Diego Zoo or Balboa Park. Hillcrest’s commercial node is also within short walking distance as are a number of grocery stores. Bus connections a block away take you anywhere in the city. (Tip to seniors – a 30-day bus pass is available for $18 providing unlimited travel throughout San Diego.) We’re delighted that we discovered this great place and plan on becoming regular visitors.

Excellent Location

My husband and I spent the months of Novemer and December in this condo. It is very spacious, secure and extremely comfortable. The location is incredible - located close to many fun places to have an evening drink or a bite to eat. The pool and workout area are another plus. We met some very nice people and the complex is maintained exceptionally well. The owner was quick to respond if we ever had any questions or concerns. Our only regret was having to leave.

Great place, convenient to everything

Larry is an excellent host who is attentive to everything. My wife and I stayed at his place for three months and were very comfortable. The beds and couch are comfortable with each of the two beds fitted with a pillow top.

The place was immaculate when we checked in. There is an assigned parking space in the garage with ample parking usually available on the street. The unit's location is excellent. Three minute walk away to Starbuck's, supermarkets, yoga studio and tons of restaurants. This place is a good and comfortable stay for any reason.

Just Like Home

I was very pleased with my interactions with Larry as well as his representation of the condo via the website. Larry provided prompt, detailed, and useful communications throughout the entire process and his photos and descriptions of the condo and its amenities were spot-on. My husband and I stayed in the condo as we prepared for a move. Although we had been living out of our suitcases for two months, the condo felt just like home. Many thoughtful amenities were provided. Not once did we need to purchase any kitchen/cleaning supplies like dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, and ziplock bags. There was even a “junk drawer”, much like we would have had in our own home, filled with miscellaneous items like bag clips, birthday candles, batteries, all of which we used during our stay. The condo is centrally located with easy access to downtown, Mission and Fashion Valley and the beach. We often left the car behind because there is so much that Hillcrest has to offer. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling to the San Diego area who wants a condo that feels just like home.

Two Month Stay

What a wonderful place in a great location.... The unit is one of the only condos accessible from inside or outside of the property. Multiple grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, bars, etc are within a very short walk. The owner was very accommodating and helpful explaining the area to us and provided plenty of toiletries and supplies that lasted our entire stay. Would return in a heartbeat!
