About the property

Ocean view is a truly unique and stunningly presented three storey townhouse in Porthcawl which has everything you’ll need for comfort and convenience. Located just off the seafront, the house is appropriately named ‘Ocean View’. You can literally lie back and enjoy the sea view from the master bedroom or from the south facing balcony which is part of the master suite.

The house is spacious enough to accommodate 10 adults as it has three bedrooms and five reception rooms over the three storeys. Families can enjoy holidaying together here with plenty of space to spread out. Upon entry, you are welcomed in to a beautiful hallway which initially leads to the lounge. This reception room is lovely and bright and feels very spacious with its high ceilings and large bay window looking down to the seafront. There is a wide screen TV, Chesterfield settee and french doors leading in to a separate sitting room. In here, the seating pulls out in to a bed settee to provide additional sleeping capacity. Both rooms have a feature fireplace and are most inviting.

From here, the entrance way leads on to the dining room which has a very open and luxurious feel with another beautiful feature fireplace, marble dining table to seat 10 and….access to the bar! This really is something a little different! The bar optics, a beer fridge, stools and games for guests to use and host their own fun. As the bar has a doorway leading to the external courtyard, it is the perfect space to fire up the gas BBQ and make the most of everything the house has to offer.

To the rear of the property is the kitchen, a large space with a range of integrated appliances and a central island. There are patio doors leading to the enclosed rear courtyard which has a range of patio furniture so you can enjoy eating inside or out. The available appliances include a range cooker, american style fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. With plenty of cookware, crockery, glassware, a microwave, kettle and toaster, the kitchen is very well equipped.

There is also a bathroom on the ground floor for convenience.

On the first floor are two good size bedrooms, the master suite and family bathroom. The master suite has a super king size bed, a beautiful bay window providing a sea view and a dressing room lined with wardrobes and drawers which leads out on to the balcony; a stunning place to enjoy coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine at sunset.

The other two bedrooms are both comfortably appointed and can accommodate 2 people.

On the second floor is the attic room which can be used as guests desire. The exposed brick wall and roof window provide lots of character. It is equipped with a day bed so can be used as a reading space, games room or sleeping area.

The house is centrally located in the heart of Porthcawl town and all that it has to offer. It’s just a few hundred yards from the seafront, several local beaches and much more!

The property itself benefits from having Wi Fi, digital TV, a PS3 console and gas central heating. Parking is available on the street without restrictions and there are long stay car parks nearby. Bed linen and towels are provided

Luxury property, furnished to the highest standard

A superb weekend in a fantastic house. We chose this house for a weekend break to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. As soon as you open the front door you can appreciate what the house has to offer but it will take you a long time to get around every room to see it all. Each room is furnished to the highest standard but still with an Inviting homely feel.

Hidden gem in Porthcawl

If you want to spend a week or so in Porthcawl, this is the perfect base. From the outside, the house appears to be much like any other well kept property, but once inside it becomes apparent that this is actually a beautifully appointed vacation home. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen addition is gorgeous, very sunny backyard sitting area, and a small bar running along the side of the house. The master bedroom is very comfortable with a walk-out balcony looking down the road to the sea. When we arrived, Philip was there to greet us, very well prepared for our questions.

While we there we went to a cricket match in Cardiff, travel time was 35 minutes. A hike in the Brecon Beacons was again, about 40 minutes drive. There's a delightful coastal walk in Porthcawl itself.

The house will very comfortably hold six people, eight or ten at a pinch.

Stunning property, very central and family friendly

We had a lovely stay at this property. It is well presented, lovely and clean. The only two small complaints we had was that the showers weren't very powerful although clean and warm.

Also the sofa bed downstairs was very uncomfortable. The mattress is very thin.

Other than this a beautiful place we will return and recommend.

Spacious, well furnished and kitted out house.

A beautiful property with room enough for 8 to more than comfortably enjoy New Year's Eve. Most of the time was spent in the stunning kitchen and dining room. A mere two minute walk from the beach and the town centre, so you couldn't be more ideally situated.
