Sea Winds Condominium on St. Augustine Beach is just a great place to get away. You have all the history of St. Augustine, some of the nicest beaches in the world, and a culture similar to the islands. I grew up in Key West so the beach and ocean have always been important to me. Now that we live in Gainesville, FL our condo gets us to the ocean after just a short drive. That made St. Augustine Beach ideal for us. We had stayed up and down St. Augustine Beach before buying in Sea Winds. It's a jewel compared to many of the larger complexes in the area. I promise you'll love Sea Winds so give our unit a try.
What makes this Condo unique
JUST RENOVATED & Professionally decorated! Our pictures say it all! Our unit gets such a nice breeze with the doors and windows open, and the lagoon and fountain out back provide a very relaxing ambiance. We also do our best to provide various beach amenities like Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, beach toys etc for guests, but in doing so we ask that guests please follow house rules and wash off sand and allow items to dry before bringing them back into the garage or inside our unit.

We booked Unit 8 for the month of March and had a very relaxing stay. Erik and the Sea Winds staff responded immediately and efficiently to one maintenance and two personal needs. This was very much appreciated - well done !
The condo was very well equipped with many recent upgrades. Notably new vanity units, dining furniture, flooring and dishwasher. The condo is a perfect base to enjoy the friendly vibe of Sea Winds and the beautiful St Augustine. Our break was cut short by Covid 19 but we are already booked to return next spring, hopefully for an uninterrupted month of pleasure.
There are many reasons to like this property. The complex is lovely with very friendly residents who’ are so welcoming and inclusive of renters. The exposure is great with all day sun so it is wonderful to sit on the warm patio.The condo is a nice size and the areas that have been updated are quite nice but unfortunately to say that it is totally updated is not quite accurate. The bedrooms are updated with nice wooden floors .The bathrooms are updated to a degree but not the showers or floors. or cupboards.The kitchen has new appliances and granite counters but the cupboards have been painted and are badly chipped. The doors in the condo are old fashioned slab doors which need to be replaced. The whole place also needs to be thoroughly cleaned - including the furniture and and walls , cupboards and woodwork need to be painted painted. We washed the walls when we arrived as they were so marked.
We are always working hard to keep our unit in tip top shape for our guests and we shoot for ALL FIVE STAR reviews.
We wish our cleaners were perfect every time, but we do have some times when they don't clean as well as we would like. We did refund this clients cleaning fee to make up for the cleaning they felt they needed to do upon arrival.
We will work on the small refinements mentioned in this review. Thank you for the feedback.
A few updates and it would be a fantastic stay, sadly not for us this time.
The location and condo complex is great, right on the beach, close to the main strip, grocery store up the road etc.
However, there are a few fairly sizeable issues we encountered.
The dishwasher didn’t work - we called and left messages for the management team on day 1 but no one ever (even to this date) responded to this issue.
The sink tap needed replacing as the water ran so weak it was impossible to wash anything under. This couldn’t be replaced in the time of our stay, so the whole thing was removed, meaning you got soaked every time you turned the tap on. Hard when the dishwasher wasn’t working either.
The stovetop glass was cracked so wiping it down was a hazard.
The garage door doesn’t work.
There’s peeling paint on the master bedroom wall.
The master bed was dreadful, with a definitive slope to one side and shocking lumpy pillows, or hard thin memory foam ones. The spares in the cupboards were blood stained. EW.
There wasn’t enough bedding for the climate.
The spare bedroom shower head doesn’t work properly & sprays the whole bathroom.
The living room light chain pull comes off each time you pull it on or off.
There is not a single piece of matching cutlery in the place and its all battered and very worn, making it very unpleasant to use.
The vacuum cleaner cupboard door comes off when you open it.
The incorrect wifi codes are provided on the laminated sheets and took the owner/property manager nearly 24hours to send them through properly.
It needs some love, then it would be great. Has so much potential, it’s annoying to see it in such poor form.
Also question the property management team/cleaners for not picking up on some of these things.
1/16/20 Update for Future Guests - Please don't let this negative review affect your choice to stay with us. We have tried contacting these guests to make this right, but they have not called us back. We have now replaced the stove, purchased two new pillows after throwing out the one with blood on it, made sure the dishwasher is working properly, fixed the water flow of the kitchen sink, correct WiFi codes are listed on condo paperwork.
As the owners, we want to first apologize for the bad experiences you've outlined in your review. We always want our guests to be happy and comfortable during their stay, and we've never had so many issues pop up for a guest. We can't apologize enough! We will get these issues fixed immediately.
We arranged for the dishwasher to be looked at as soon as we heard of the issue only to have the repair company say it was working so not sure what happened there operationally. We are talking to the office staff about their slow response to your issues. I'm sure the holidays played a part in that, but they should have planned accordingly to be able to address guests concerns. We will have management look at the tap issue as I wasn't aware of the removal of that. The stove top crack recently happened so we just have to work with that as we couldn't replace it without a whole new stove (the stove is brand new), but we are working on that. The stove itself works fine.
The garage goes work, but sometimes the pull chain lock gets disengaged by tenant use so you just have to lock it back and it works fine. There's one small area of peeling paint as you mentioned so sorry that was a bother. It's a recurring issue we have fixed before. We will remove old pillows right away, and we happen to like the memory foam. They were expensive bamboo pillows to boot so sorry they weren't what you'd prefer. Not sure on the slope of the bed issue as we've never noticed that. While the cutlery may not match they work as intended. The wifi code sheet is updated now.
We consistently provide our unit the love it needs to stay in tip top shape, but clearly we missed providing you with an enjoyable stay and for that we are sorry. Bottom line is we will get everything back in tip top shape for our future guests. We stay in our unit too so we want to be comfortable, and we want our guests to be as comfortable as they are at home.

We loved the location and comfort of the condo!
Easy walk to beach with gated access for renters. Beautiful balconies for quieter moments, looking out over fountained pond. The only issue we had was that the dishwasher didn’t work, we notified the office twice with no response. Wanted to make sure the owners were aware.
We're glad you enjoyed your stay outside of the lack of response on the dishwasher. I checked with the office and they said they didn't get any feedback about it so not sure what happened there. I always invite guests to contact me directly when/if the office isn't available as I would like to help if I can. We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future!
Great place to stay!
This was our first visit to St. Augustine. It was an annual girls trip! The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. Comfortable sectional in den and large dining table is perfect! The bedrooms are upstairs and the only caution is stairs are steep. The beach is very close and has a couple of places to rinse sand off which is nice. Property office staff were great. Loved having grocery store just down the street. I consider myself a “hotel snob” and this place is nice!

St Augustine Stay
My husband and I spent 3 nights in this condo and did not want to leave. It was spacious and attractively furnished. We had everything we needed. We had not been to St Augustine in years and will definitely return soon. I hope this condo is available then.
Sea Winds is located in the heart of historic St. Augustine Beach. The beaches at Sea Winds are the nicest you'll find on the north east coast of Florida. It's much nicer than you'll find if you book further south at Cresent Beach, Cinnamon Beach of Palm Coast.
It's so nice to be so close to so much of the best of what the beach has to offer. You're within just a few miles of enough restaurants to fill a weeks stay. Plus your only a short drive to get into Historic St. Augustine, and all it has to offer. Getting downtown is a must do on your vacation to St. Augustine! Do a little research through a site like TripAdvisor, and you'll find all the best attractions and restaurants to visit.
Our unit is just a block away from the largest shopping center on the beach that has a Publix Supermarket with liquor store and a Starbucks for all us coffee lovers!
