Stayed here for a week and we just loved it! My husband and I just got married and spent our honeymoon here and it was everything we could have asked for! Close to the beach, Portland headlight, cute shops around the area and of course, Portland. The house is so cozy and makes you feel right at home. The owner was so nice and thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again!
Two couples traveling together and had spent some time in one hotel room together.....so we were so pleased with the very spacious accommodations of this cozy cottage. We especially appreciated the one and a half bathrooms!!!! Everything imaginable was available for the guests especially cookware. Even a stroller and crib if a little one was along. Most of all we appreciated having our little Jack Russell with us and how welcoming the owner was to us all. Lots of parking outside, just a short little walk to a beautiful beach and so easy to get to the lighthouses on Cape Elizabeth and to the old port in Portland. Thank you for the great vacation! This may have been a nice cottage at one time but is now in need of serious refurbishment. The owner has started that by replacing the windows which was ongoing during our stay. Hammering and sawing at 0700. The home made kitchen especially the stove which is very old and in need of serious cleaning requires a complete make over. The exterior doors were in poor repair with one window pane held in with scotch tape.
The one a/c unit while old and loud did cool the bedroom during a 90+ degree week. We expressed our dis-satisfaction to the owner the first day and she suggested we could leave with no offer to refund our payment. This property and owner do not belong on HomeAway.
Very clean and conveniently located to so many wonder areas. Furnished with all anyone could want. Would definitely use this rental again!
Lesley's 2 bedroom rental is spacious and clean, and well stocked with everything you might need for cooking, reading, playing games, etc. I especially loved the skylights which let in wonderful light in the bathroom, kitchen and dining areas. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood is lovely. It's quiet at night, and the cove beach nearby was clean and a very short walk to get to. We enjoyed the little backyard patio area off the kitchen as well, and Lesley's flower beds were beautiful. Having Fort Williams Park just a short walk away is a real plus for daily walks with lots of space, and great views of the water and lighthouse. Lesley was quite responsive to emails I sent with questions beforehand, and we found her to be very helpful, sweet and friendly. We would definitely rent her place again. Enjoyed it very much!
