About the property

The farmhouse is situated in the picturesque rural Devon countryside, enclosed with tranquil rolling hills and offering stunning walks both on the property and as an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Approached via a long drive, the period property is situated in an elevated position within a working sheep farm with over 180 acres of pasture. The former farmhouse sleeps up to 10 people in five bedrooms with two separate bathrooms & 1 en-suite and is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday with family & friends.

There is a large modern kitchen-diner with expansive range cooker and adjoining utility area, as well as two reception rooms.

Outside of the property is a private garden area with bench seating and separate patio area. The Farmhouse is situated in an elevated position with great views of Exeter city at night, Dartmoor and the Teign Valley. Walking is a must with tons of birds and local wildlife to spot during your visit, don’t forget to bring your wellies in the winter! We have demarcated walking trails across 180 acres of farm & woodland. Horse stabling and dogs are accepted is available by prior arrangement.

The farmhouse makes for a wonderful group stay with a relaxed family friendly feel.

Lovely house in a beautiful area

We had a wonderful time staying here, there is lots to do in the area and as national trust members there are plenty of houses and gardens to visit.

The house is very large and unlike one to two places we have stayed it is plenty large enough for all nine of us to get around without being under each others feet.

The property is lovely and the location is stunning with great views and plenty of room for the children to run around and make lots of noise without worrying about upsetting anyone.

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful during our stay and even after we left.

Christmas in perfect Devon

A lovely warm friendly house owned and cared for by lovely warm friendly people. The location is idyllic, and the walks across the farm fields glorious, even in the rain. The only place we have visited where the sheep approach you rather than running away......because Jeremy feeds them treats. He is proud of "Angry Boy", probably the most docile animal you'll ever meet. Jeremy, Barbara and Taryn are a delight.

All absolutely charming. We hope to return.

Beautiful scenic location

We stayed here as a group of 10 and loved the house.

It is a beautiful period house, in a simply stunning location. It is very well equipped for a holiday home, and had everything we needed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Only minor points was insufficient hot water for showers/ baths for 10 of us, and no curtains in the downstairs bedroom.

Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Lovely house!

Our hosts were great, even taking in our shopping delivery when we were unexpectedly delayed by heavy traffic and awful weather on our way there. Not only did they take it in, but also put all the frozen and chilled food in the fridge/freezer! Taryn was very helpful with anything we needed. The farmhouse was everything I'd hoped it would be! The beds and sofas were very comfortable, the kitchen was perfect for our large family too. None of us wanted to leave, including our 3 and 6 year old girls, which shows what a lovely time we all had. We would love to go back and explore more of the Devon countryside. I can highly recommend it!

Very comfortable with stunning views.

The Farmhouse was a little out of the way but quite easy to find. The views were fabulous and the owners were friendly. We had access to a field to walk the dog which was perfect.

There were a few things in the house that needed attention for example door handles and it would be a good idea to have locks on the bathroom doors. A visitors book would be a good idea.

Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the weather was kind to us.
