Enjoy a heated pool and spa or shell on a secluded beach. Fish from a private dock with a 15k lb. deep water lift. Bring your boat and enjoy direct access to the intracoastal waterway and gulf. Then end the day relaxing under a waterside pavilion complete with sofas, dining furniture, TV's, IPhone compatible sound system, a 36' stainless steel grill and cool breezes. Additional waterviews from the screened porch, great room, kitchen and master bedroom.
It was better than expected. A great laid back atmosphere. Bikes, kayak, nature, pool, hot tub, dock, beach, shells, So much fun with our large family. We didn't even need to rent a golf cart. The kids said it was the best Christmas gift ever!
Spacious and clean. The master bedroom is on the 2nd floor(3 stories up),up a spiral staircase. The master bath was lovely spacious- the only issue was the shower head had been broken and patched up so it was a little shaky. The King bed in the master is NOT a king bed , but rather two twins stuck side by side, and they were the pits, drooping in the centre terribly.
Main floor: 1 bedroom with very soft king bed; 3rd bedroom with 2 bunk beds,1 was a double on bottom. The mattresses in those were very thick thus, younger kids would not be safe on the top bunks.
The kitchen appliances were very good, water was excellent and lots of room in the fridge, 2 coffee machines. There were issues with the sink on the garbage disposal side and the garbage disposal was not working properly so we bagged the food waste.
The remainder of the 1st floor is comprised of a tv and couch, with a tiny bar type table and 4 stools in the corner. So in other words, meals were eaten outside on the covered porch or at the counter and on the bar table. No dining area in the house.
The pool was great, the hot tub too. The gazebo on the ground level beside the pool area had 2 tvs,a nice sitting set and a large table. We did not use the bar area by the pool or the extra room adjacent the bar.
We inquired about the fishing gear and were told that there were 5 rods:we found 3-one of which my husband (who is quite handy ) had to fix. But that was ok, and the kids had lots of fun catching cat fish.
The bikes had flat tires and the inflator's attachment was broken, no biking for the kids. The kayak was fun, although it's a little hard to get into a kayak from a dock.
The beach was a 10 minute walk down the street.Quiet and beautiful. Wonderful shelling ,but not so much that it was sore on the feet, though we were taken aback as there were lots of dead fish.
The pool/spa are the main features of this property.
Check-out is at 10.The cleaning lady showed up 20 minutes early and started to pick up in the rooms WHILE we were packing the car and gathering our belongings. We had washed/folded all the towels, done all the dishes. She should have waited until we left as she was in the way. Terrible lack of decorum.
We went to The Escape for my bachlorette trip! We had so much fun! It was such a relaxing time. We did not get to go enjoy the beach due to red tide but I am so happy this house had a private pool and jacuzzi for us to use! That is where we spent the whole weekend! Lounging, relaxing, and laughing! A great time was had by all and all 7 of us LOVED the house! It was very clean and well kept! We enjoyed lunch out by the pool, under the covered patio! We also loved having dinner at the Palm Island resort! It was a great time and we definitely plan to return!
We had a very nice long weekend at this property. Property was very clean and it has everything you need. The kids enjoyed the ride on the bicycle to the beach every day, while the adults took the car for a short ride.
Paul was always available for any need or question. Will definitely come back soon, I hope.
The house is incredibly conducive to outdoor living in Florida. You will only be inside to cook or sleep. The location on Palm Island is unmatched- one day we had the entire South Beach to ourselves, and the other two days there were maybe a dozen scattered throughout the North Beach. We rode bikes along the water on thr beach at sunset. We swam with a manatee. We caught shrimp. We kayaked the mangroves. I am 30 and stayed with my wife and 8 other friends. This house was perfect for relaxing, having a good time, and just about any beach activity. Paul was great and I am confident we will be back the samr weekend next year!
We had a really good time renting this property . It is truly a beach house to relax. It had everything a family needs and the owners were always very helpful to answer all our inquiries. Thank you
