Very comfortable cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable cottage, nicely out of the way. This is our second holiday staying at this or one of the neighbouring cottages, and we could come again.

Shame about the weather!

  • 4 of 5

Our stay at Kestrel Cottage was spoiled by the rain that we suffered every day of our holiday! The Peak District looks lovely when the sun shines but we only enjoyed brief glimpses of sun.

The cottage is lovely, the recommendations for restaurants excellent and the nuthatches were a treat!

Our stay at Kestrel Cottage

  • 3 of 5

We found directions to the property and getting the key good. First reactions to the cottage were good but found that we only had 4 towels (2 bath, 2 hand) for the whole week stay, which was to us not acceptable as there was no washing machine for us to wash them. The cottage was a lovely size and warm enough. We had to buy our own logs for the log burner though! The bed is a small double and the lounge chairs lack comfort. The cottage has a lovely setting and great for walks. We enjoyed our week in the peak district.

Owner's Response: I am pleased you enjoyed your stay in the Peak District and thank you for taking time to give us some feedback about the cottage. We always supply as standard one hand towel and one bath towel per person but the owner would have gladly supplied more if you had requested this. A full basket of logs, kindling, paper and matches is always supplied for each let too.
