I took my son and Daughter away for a 2 week break to the area and stayed in this lovely well equipped Gite, which had everything that we needed for our stay without having to pack the kitchen sink.
The Gite is in the perfect location and close to a lot of activities in the area, the River is a stone’s throw away which is great as whiles we were there the temps reached the 40's and the swimming was such a nice way to relax for the afternoon.
We will be back next year for sure as was perfect.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re so pleased you had such a good time and everything was good for you. It will be a pleasure and looking forward to have you stay next year! Regards,
Excellent location for all the tourist sights and great value!
Stayed here for nearly 2 weeks and had a great time. The whole area is lovely and this is a perfect base for exploring all the amazing sights from Sarlat to Bergerac and beyond. The garden downstairs to the side was ideal for our dog and for a relaxing BBQ in the evenings. The apartment is adequately equipped and nice and cool on the many hot days we had. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the main road can be a bit of a distraction if you have the front windows open at night, but we had no real issues.
One of the owners, Jackie, was there during our stay and was a fantastic host, extremely friendly and helpful - very much appreciated !
We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for your review! We loved having you, you were great guests and Mishka too😊Pleasure to meet you. Hope to see you in the future.
Comfortable gite in lovely area
Spent a week here in August 2018. Easy to get to, comfortable and in a lovely part of the world - a good base from which to explore the area. on the edge of Vitrac (Port) and only a short walk from the Dordogne.
Thank you very much for your review! Very pleased you had a good stay in the beautiful Dordogne region.
We had a very pleasnt twelve days at Vitrac. The gite had all we needed including lots of UK tv from a server enabled service. Ideal in the evenings as the wrather eas not 9f the kindest while we were there. Comfortable bed and pleanty of rolm. Lots to do near by as well so a good location from that point of view. The 9nly downside is that the property is very close to a busy road and traffic flows throughout the night, so not good if you are light sleeper!
great location, very comfortable, appreciated the wine, bread and walnuts . friendly host..
Very clean and well equipped, exactly as description. Appreciated our large terrace area and BBQ which we used every evening. Was very grateful for the fans especially in 37C only dropping to 26C at night! Bed was large and very comfortable. Good to have a washing machine and line to hang out clothes. Iron was excellent. There was nothing that caused us to complain about!
Thank you so much for your positive review. We're so pleased you enjoyed your gite and the beautiful Dordogne region!
Hope to see you both again...
Fantastic location, wonderful owners
My wife and I spent two great weeks in Gite Primevere, our first visit to the Dordogne Valley. We couldn't have picked a better location with a short drive to places like Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac, Beynac, Castlenaud, and Domme all less than 15 minutes away. Within 5 minutes walk are a couple of very good restaurants and a canoe hire place a further 5 minutes walk across the Dordogne. Canoe hire is a marvelous way to view the region from the river and is not at all difficult or arduous. My wife and I are in our early seventies and were quite comfortable with the 16 km (10 ml) trip we opted for. Incidently, the owners have negotiated a 10% discount for the canoe hire.
The gite was totally clean on our arrival and there was a very welcome pack of bread, wine and some local nuts. Primevere is a gite and not luxury accommodation. It was perfectly adequate and totally to our taste.
The owners were preparing a further gite for a long term rental and we got to know them. They were so friendly and helpful it made our two week stay just a little bit short.
Would I recommend Primevere to friends? I most certainly would.
