A beautifully furnished and well equipped light and airy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Grade II listed Georgian cottage with 2 enclosed gardens and off road parking. All within easy walking distance of Beaumaris where you will find exciting restaurants, a wonderful selection of shops and galleries, a Victorian pier and the most perfect example of an Edward I concentric castle !
Open the white metal gate and wander up the cottage path to a welcoming front door. This private and enclosed garden has a picnic table and bench to allow you to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
Upon entering the cottage you will find a downstairs bedroom with a super king sized bed that can split into twin beds if needed. There is comfortable armchair and a tv/dvd in this bedroom to allow for downstairs living if needed. A bookcase is filled with a wide variety of books to suit all tastes.
Opposite this bedroom is the kitchen. It is fully equipped and seats 8 comfortably. An electric double oven and halogen hob allows for family meals to be cooked easily. There is a microwave for those quick fixes and a large toaster so there is no need to wait in the morning. With a homemade cake and fresh garden picked flowers to welcome you, you will be smiling within minutes of arriving. A fully stocked kitchen means you don't have to pack the fairy liquid, dishcloths or salt and pepper. There's even milk in the fridge so you can have a hot cup of tea upon arrival. We are even happy to accept your supermarket delivery and put it all away for you so that you can just arrive and relax. Just let us know if that would help you. There's a Waitrose down the road who will deliver as do Tesco, Morrison's and Sainsbury's.
The kitchen is a bright and airy room to start your day in. Sit at the table facing the sea and stunning mountains of Snowdonia and plan your adventures. Mountains to climb, beaches to explore, historical sites to learn about and a castle to conquer - quick visits to the local ice cream parlour just to check the standards are as high as yesterday, a walk along the coastal path to allow for seconds ! Wander along the pier and go crabbing just for the memories of course....
Down the hall you will find the playroom with loads of toys and books ready to keep youngsters happy. With their own kitchen to play with and lots of bricks to build their own castle you will be able to relax knowing they are happy.
Through the playroom you will find a shower room with lavatory, basin and heated towel rail. This is easy to access with just 1 step down from the main hall to the playroom then it is on the same level into the shower room.
Along the passage you will find an utility room with the usual functional necessities in life - iron, 8kg washing machine, freezer and drying rack. Luckily there are also buckets and spades so you can enjoy a day at the beach or time crabbing off the pier. Not everything in life has to be as dull as the washing machine when you are on holiday !
Open the back door and you will find an outside sink to wash off any wetsuits - then venture through the shed that used to be a fisherman's cottage. Through 2 doors and you will be amazed at how wonderful the back garden is - wildlife thrive here, apples galore to pick during autumn and blackcurrants in summer. A garden to sit quietly in and listen to the birds, a picnic table is provided for al fresco entertaining and there is plenty of space for those afternoon football matches !
Back in the house and up the sweeping staircase you will find a mid-landing bathroom with a large bath with shower over, lavatory, basin and heated towel rail.
Further up the stairs you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed, dressing table and built in cupboards. The fabrics that have been used throughout the house help to create a sense of calm. The original sash windows bring lots of light into the rooms helping to make you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive.
Next to the master bedroom is a large sitting room with an open coal fire, smart tv and dvd player, 2 wonderfully comfortable sofas and a bean bag for the ones who prefer to splodge ! With plenty of games, dvds to watch and a bose Bluetooth speaker you will have more than enough choice to entertain you in the evenings should you wish to stay in. Relax on one of the window seats and look through the binoculars to watch the sailing boats make their way along the Straits. The ever changing mountains beyond will keep you still for hours so be warned it is a true time wasting pastime !
The final bedroom is a twin room with the same beds as elsewhere in the house - super comfortable and suitable for adults as well as children.
With plenty of light and airy space - not to mention beautiful furnishings, everything you could need to cook and socialise, 2 gardens, off road parking, sea and mountain views you will fall in love with this cottage - and like so many of our guests you may never want to leave but will settle upon returning the following year ! We loved this house when we lived here and know you will love it too.
