Directly overlooking the sea with panoramic views of St Andrews bay, nestled between the Castle and Cathedral, in the heart of the old town of St Andrews. A short walk to the golf links and the world famous Old Course.

From your bedroom windows view all three beaches, the golf courses, the Castle and the Cathedral....

thebeachhouse is a newly redeveloped townhouse with stunning open-plan living room and kitchen/diner with elevated penthouse views over St Andrews bay.

The property has been completely redeveloped externally and internally during 2016, and we're sure you'll love our rooms tastefully designed to complement the stunning sea views. The open plan 'manhattan loft' is our feature area - a first floor lounge and kitchen/diner which gives you elevated views from the Cathedral at the rear to the beaches and Castle out front.

We have three bedrooms (one double and two twins) which will sleep six people, three bath/shower rooms, and in addition a garden room/snug with a double sofa bed.

Please note, as our townhouse has an open plan middle floor, it is not possible to put stair-gates on for very young children.

From your doorstep walk around the many restaurants, cafes and bars of the bustling medieval Scottish coastal town of St Andrews. Visit the many attractions of the town, including golf courses, cycle tracks, beaches, leisure centre, parks, botanical gardens, theatre, and museums. Not to mention the distilleries and brewery!

The Beach House is a perfect spot for a St. Andrews get away.

The House has beautiful views of the beach, sea and castle on one side and the ruins of the cathedral on the other. It is in an ideal location, a short walk from the heart of the city, but tucked away on a quiet lane. The property has been completely rebuilt providing remarkably modern amenities amongst the charm of the old city. Four of us stayed there on a golfing trip and continually remarked about how great a spot the Beach House was. It is five minutes from the Old Course and yet provided very easy access to the courses outside the city such as Kingsbarnes, the Castle and Crail. I highly recommend this gem.

St Andrews Beach House

Our stay at Ann's beach house was nothing short of delightful. The three level unit was nicely appointed, completely updated. We found Ann to be very welcoming and extremely helpful as we were planning our first trip to London and Scotland ever. If we make it back to St Andrews (and I certainly hope we do) I know who I will be calling. I didnt expect to fall so much for St Andrews but the longer we were there the more beautiful we thought it to be.

Beautiful home, great location. Ann the owner could not be nicer or do more to make us feel at more at home. The whole town is within walking distance. We will definitely try to stay at the Beachhouse again when we return to Scotland.

The Best

Easily the best experience I’ve had with a vacation rental. The property is beautiful, and the views are breathtaking. Walked everywhere in town, and driving out to kingsbarns, crail, and carnoustie was very easy/accessible from the house.

It’s a no brainer if I ever come back to stay at 7 Gregory place. Highly recommend.

The Beachhouse was perfect

While considering our options for a golf trip, our group explored local hotels and stumbled upon The Beachhouse as a fantastic alternative at a fraction of the cost. The location (and views) were wonderful - and everything was within easy walking distance to the town. The house was very well equipped and beds were better than hotel quality. We were worried the house wouldn't live up to the listing photos - but it was better than advertised.

The owner, Ann, was responsive and provided local recommendations to help make the trip more enjoyable. If you are considering a stay in Saint Andrews - this house should be at the top of your list!
