Perfect location, Clean, recently renovated chalet, stunning views

This beautiful chalet has the most tranquil setting situated on a quiet no through road, with plenty of parking. It is the perfect place to relax all year round, with its incredible view and cosy open fire. It has been renovated to a very high standard with the comfort of our guests a high priority. Easy access to the fantastic resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand just 2-3km away. The spectacular Lake Annecy less than a 30 minute drive.

The chalet has the perfect mix of chic modern interiors, complementing the old wood of a traditional chalet.

The main chalet has 3 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one with a bath). There is also space for an additional single bed on the stair landing.

On the lower floor there is a completely separate studio with its own kitchen and bathroom (with bath). This has the potential to sleep a further 2-4 people.

This can be a perfect solution for shared families or groups to have some independence, whilst still been connected with the main chalet.

You will need a car to access the chalet but the ski bus can be picked up easily at the bottom of the hill and travels regularly to Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz.

There are also regular buses from the village to Annecy.

Transfers can be arranged to and from Geneva Airport and taxis are available for those who prefer not to drive after a night out in the local resorts.

Linen and towels are not routinely included (as the French often prefer to bring their own) but these can be easily supplied if preferred- €20 per bed and €5 per towel.

There is also a tax séjour (local tax is of the village) which will need to be paid on arrival for your tourist card- this is 0.75€ per adult per night and free of charge for children (U/18). It will then give you free use of the ski bus and discounts on other activities in the area.

I am a qualified Physio and after working in London for 12 years I was ready for a change.

I therefore took a 6 month sabbatical to renovate this chalet. I then fell in love with the area and it's all year round beauty so I have decided to stay in the mountains!

My parents have owned the next door chalet for over 14 years so I have known the area and the spectacular view for a long time. When the opportunity came up to buy Chalet Le Daim it was too good to miss.

This also means there is 3 chalets for rent next to each other making it perfect for family groups.

The chalet is adequately equipped for 10 people although the living area is too small to accommodate 10 comfortably. It is positioned on a hill overlooking the village of St Jean, midway between La Clusaz and Grand Bornand, with wonderful views of the surrounding area. The resorts cater for all skier abilities making it ideal for groups with different needs. The tourist bus runs frequently every day between the two resorts with ample parking in St Jean, but you do need a car to get there. The owner is British and we found her very friendly and helpful.

Excellent séjour

Beau chalet, chaleureux et confortable, récemment rénové et décoré avec beaucoup de goût situé sur les hauteurs du village (voiture indispensable et chaînes neige impératives en cas de fortes chutes). Cheminée très appréciée. Grande baie vitrée dans la pièce à vivre avec superbe vue sur la vallée. A proximité (5-10 min en voiture) de 2 grandes stations de ski (La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornand). Navettes possibles au départ du village. Gemma est très agréable, à l'écoute, dynamique et très disponible. Nous lui avons suggéré quelques améliorations comme ajouter un lampadaire et petite table dans le salon et surtout mettre à disposition un aspirateur car beaucoup de poussières même à notre arrivée... Nous comptons revenir au chalet Le Daim prochainement !
