This delightful terraced cottage located near Stockghyll Falls, an area with pretty woodland and waterfalls cascading from Red Screes above to Ambleside village and the lake below. The property is set in one and a half acres of grounds and landscaping on the former site of the old bobbin mill. This is a superb base for local, country and woodland walks with Ambleside a short stroll away and Langdale Pike within 4 miles. Lake 1 mile. Beach 9 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Very comfortable property made for an enjoyable stay.
I don't normally do feedback for such a short stay but I feel that I have to mention a couple of things:
1. The Christmas tree was much appreciated.
2. There was hardly any toilet paper (a quarter of a roll at most in each bathroom). The bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and used shampoo/soap bottles hadn't been removed. The lack of toilet rolls may have been more of a problem, it being Christmas, had we not discovered a corner shop open just below Lucy's On A Plate.
Oh, and we couldn't find the outside bin.
