Two families (friends and business partners) from Louisville, Kentucky purchased this home in the fall of 2014. We have 5 daughters between us and we are all excited to share this home with you! We were instantly in love with the home and believe that the property is amazing and unique. It's a great place to relax and unwind.
Alissa M. Domine purchased this house in 2014
This house sits on a point and has a spectacular view of the lake. It is located on a quiet, private road, but is only a few miles from restaurants and other attractions.
The private boat ramp is a great perk, and the views from the upper level deck and the lower level screened-in porch are beautiful and relaxing. The great room is a large, open space which nicely accommodates a large group for meals or games.
We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving. There was plenty of space for all 20 of my family to eat together. The view was wonderful and it was great to be able to have a fire to sit by. Would love to visit in the summer.
We stayed at the house for a long weekend with 3 couples and 2 toddlers. There was plenty of room for all of us and the home was nicely laid out and comfortable. The weather was amazing, so we enjoyed plenty of time outside on a pontoon boat and hanging out on the dock and in the water when the babies were sleeping. We had trouble with the hot tub our first night, and it was addressed immediately by the friendly housekeeper who lives down the street. We didn't know really anything about the area before this, and we liked the private setting and mostly quiet lake. However, we were disheartened to see so much pollution in the lake. The home has Styrofoam dock floaters and they need replaced. Little pieces of Styrofoam are all around the dock where we were swimming and fishing. Can't be good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay a lot and the house was really very nice.
My family and I have rented many VRBO homes around the U.S. and we found the Paradise Cove home to be a very comfortable place to stay. With the exception of one night (it was the 4th of July after all) the neighbors were quiet and the stay was tranquil - the views of the lake and cliffs across the water were lovely to wake up to, and we had a very relaxing time. Finding the home was initially challenging...our GPS gave up just as we turned on to Paradise Cove, and then finding the house at the end of the street was a bit difficult (mostly because it was raining heavily and it was difficult to see), but once we were in, we were extremely happy with the cleanliness, size of the home, the layout, and the modern interior. The 4 bedrooms were all tastefully decorated, and it was wonderful having 3 bathrooms (and they had great water pressure in the showers!). The Master Bed was actually the most comfortable bed I'd slept in for several years. The kitchen was a good size, and it was really nice that it was right off of the very large family room (our favorite room), which had a huge tv, nice fireplace, a fantastically comfortable leather couch, and large dining table for eating and small table for games (a great selection of board game as well - the kids always had something to do). We enjoyed using the hot tub - easy to remove the top and manage the controls for jets and lights. Going down to the dock was a bit dicey though...the hill from the house to the water is steep, and due to the rain the trail was a bit muddy and slick. Another after-effect of the rain...the lake and dock area filled with debris, but it could really only be viewed from the upper deck, and likely eventually disappeared down river with the current. All in all a good value, and a very family friendly option. It would also be great for multi-family retreats, and girls or guys group weekends.
Our family, four couples and a baby, rented this lovely home last weekend. Once we entered the home and got settled we were completely comfortable and entertained on the lake. We did not leave the property for three days. The kitchen is enormous and fully equipped. Two living areas gave everyone space to peruse their interests. The dock is accessible and Lake Herrington Marina even delivered a pontoon boat to the dock of the home. Clean, comfortable beds and three full baths made our stay perfect. We would love to return.
We rented this house for our wedding guests. Our family members loved it! Great location on the lake. The accommodations are perfect for families. The décor is warm and welcoming. Our guests were thrilled with being able to relax and enjoy the lake! Wonderful views from both decks. Our family members were so impressed, they want to come back for vacation. This place has everything you need to go fishing, boating, swimming or just relax on the lake.
My family and I spent Memorial Day weekend 2015 in this wonderful home. It slept 12 very comfortably and had more than ample space for us to dine together and hang out when not playing outdoors. The deck space is expansive and the hot tub overlooking the lake is a great way to relax. The home was clean and well kept. The new décor really sets the tone and makes you truly feel like you are in a "home away from home" environment. I can't say enough about how gracious the owners were to us and provided all we needed to make some great memories. We will definitely be back!
