Nestled in a charming neighborhood with picturesque views; our Island Cottage is sure to be your home away from home.
This bright and airy 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is situated in a cozy, quiet and safe neighborhood on Anastasia Island. This peaceful house has been recently renovated and features a new kitchen, updated bathrooms and fresh paint. The backyard is fenced, perfect for pets and includes a grill and fire pit! There’s a screened front porch with swing overlooking an immense natural bird habitat with additional space for guest to entertain and relax.
The house has a nice open floor plan with sky lights for additional natural lighting. The living room has a flat-screen TV. Both the master and guest bedrooms have queen size beds.
Nearby, guests will find abundant choices for dining, shopping, and site-seeing. Just a short walk away is The Alligator Farm, The Lighthouse, and The Amphitheater.
We are a married couple (retired military) who love to travel. This is our primary residence and we are looking to rent it while we explore the United States and have our own adventures. We love, love, love our home and our town and hope you feel as passionate about both when you are here.

It's a slice of heaven in an amazing location. You'll feel the good vibes as soon as you pull up.
Solitude but close to everything and we live here so there is everything you could possibly need.
A couple of tiny things that it may help to know:
1. The two keys provided for the front door were stiff. You may need new keys or to get these filed down, if they are new. Some WD-40 in the lock could help as well;
2. The house keep showed up before 11a. They sat in the driveway while we finished our breakfast. Not a relaxing way to finish our vacation; and
3. If you have a watering can, leave it on the porch so guests can water the flowerbeds.
Thanks for the little details (soap, toothpaste, cookies) and for such a beautiful and well organized home.
The house was very clean, has a comfortable bed in the master bedroom, and a great screened porch where we watched birds flying in and out of the sanctuary down the street. The owners are very responsive and helpful with questions. It is a lovely neighborhood with friendly neighbors, and it's an easy drive to the beaches and to downtown St. Augustine. We walked our dog in the neighborhood every day, and it was also very convenient to have a fenced backyard and a grill.
We had a great time exploring Anastasia Island and downtown St. Augustine; finding many dog-friendly patios and porches at restaurants; going to the winery "cellar", which is actually a rooftop patio with music; listening to music and eating at City Bistro Coffee (on Ponce De Leon Blvd); and going to the farm markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The only reason I didn't give the house a 5 rating was due to the uncomfortable living room furniture.
Very clean, fun eclectic home that was close to Old St. Augustine. "Übered" over a few times and avoided the parking fees and traffic. Worked out great. House had everything we needed but the seating provided in the living area was not comfortable and not suitable for someone who is a little older or has problems with mobility.
From the moment we pulled into the parking area of this little cottage, we knew we had found the perfect place for our vacation. The bright and cheery colors were quite welcoming and were tastefully chosen. Our first impression upon walking into the home was that it appeared exactly as the photos had shown on the VRBO website. It was sparkling clean with lots of natural sunlight pouring in. Around every corner and on every wall, in every nook and cranny was another surprise decoration or picture, all of which reflected the owner's personalities. The deck and fire pit area were a joy, the front porch was fantastic!! Our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the fenced in yard, having never experienced such freedom before. There was an extensive loose leaf binder with explicit instructions regarding care of the home, the T-V and appliances, as well as suggestions on places of interest to check out while we were there. We especially enjoyed looking at the pictures in the third bedroom, which chronicled the Army activities of Kevin, the owner. He is a genuine hero, who was wounded in service to our country. His wife, Lisa, was also a joy to talk to and there was evidence of her love for her home all around.
We spent the entire week exploring and enjoying the beautiful St. Augustine area. We were there the week of Christmas so each evening the city is ablaze with tiny sparkling lights at businesses along the main street as well as many homes and offices decorated throughout the city. We took advantage of the Holly Jolly Trolley on Christmas Eve. It was completely magical.
In summary then, we would highly recommend this VRBO rental and hope it is available the next time we visit Florida.
This house was fantastic! More than we could have asked for. We've stayed at a number of personal home rentals, and this one was one of our favorites!
To start with, it was very clean. There was a place for everything and the entire house was very well equipped making it easy to kick back and relax.
The home itself was beautiful, and very unique! Everywhere we looked there were small detail that made it homey and inviting. It's obvious the owners truly love their home and care for it greatly.
The location was perfect for our needs as well. Lovely street to walk down and friendly neighbors.
Overall, I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an awesome house in St.Augustine!
My wife and two rescue "fur kids" Gracie and Milo absolutely LOVED our stay here. I think the front porch was our favorite spot, although it's cozy, warm and inviting inside, too. The size was just perfect for us. We loved the landscaping and especially loved the wonderful rookery across the street. Just a couple miles from all the history, restaurants and shops downtown, it only took a few minutes to be exploring and enjoying all the really cool places. It's only about four miles down A1A to the Winn-Dixie or Publix grocery stores, which is also very convenient. The Lighthouse is an easy 15-20 minute walk, and if you love history, you'll love it. Totally worth the $10 fee to go to top, and spend a long time in the lighthouse keeper's residence (we spent over two hours there)! Can't say enough about this cute home and it's wonderful owners. I'd definitely recommend it for those looking for peace and quiet away from town, but just a few minutes away.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house has everything you need (even extra hot sauce), is clean, and comfortable. Very good location for the beach and town. My wife loved the swing on the screened in front porch and I enjoyed the grill. We met most of the neighbors and they are friendly and welcoming. This is something we enjoyed in St Augustine every where we went. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
