This self-contained loft/ art studio/ multi-use space has all you need to survive & thrive, whether you are staying for just a weekend or planning on spending a few or even more weeks here. We believe in mulch-functionality and the utilitarian character of the spaces we spend our live in. That said, you won't find fluffy beds and mass-produced 'art' covering the walls. But we will be happy to meet your creative needs- so please let us know them in advance!

The 14-ft-high walls have been intentionally mostly left blank for variety of uses, including, but not limited to:

Photo- and video-shoots. This space has been used for these in the past and we will be happy to accommodate your artistic needs

Free internet FIOS. You can also watch netflix movies or DVD-s on a 8 ft x 6 ft screen from your own computer. Projector included, computer not.

Guest- controllable heat and central air conditioning.

Sleeping accommodations:

Please note: there is no separate bedroom, it's all an open-floor space with an open mezzanine. The main sleeping quarters are located on the mezzanine. There is a california king size memory foam mattress/bed (easily sleeps 2 large adults, but watch out for low ceiling-see the pix). There's also a 2-person futon. On the main (lower) floor there are (2) queen size sleeping sofa-beds (one of them w/additional 2' memory foam topper ). Although far from a stereotypical fluffy bedroom this place offers good sleeping accommodation for any folks 'on the go'.

Full bathroom with a shower. Hair-dryer included. Compact kitchen equipped w/electric stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee & cappuccino makers & electric kettle. There are also: crock pot, rice cooker/steamer, electric grill & panini maker available for your cooking (website hidden) utensils & dishes provided, as well as towels, linens & blankets/ comforters (in winter).

Although the minimal stay is 2 nights in some cases we accept a single-night stay. The base price for a single night is $150.00 plus the regular fees (cleaning and, etc.). The maximum of 3 guests still applies, unless discussed with us directly on a case-by-case basis.

In certain situations we can raise the maximum amount of adult guests (18 yrs +) to 5- there is an additional fee of $15 per night, per each adult guest over 3 up to 5.

Please review all the sleeping & bathroom details in our listing with all folks in your party to make sure you that all will feel comfortable with such accommodations.

Comfort is a subjective term and while we try to provide our guests with the amount of space & privacy the way we perceive it, we understand that some people not only don't mind but actually feel good in more 'densely populated' scenarios.

Parking: free on-street parking next to our building in a quiet but very well exposed & safe alley.

We have kids and we understand and welcome families w/kids.

We also have dogs and we welcome folks w/dogs too, any size, any breed, or a mix of them. Dogs stay for free with their responsible owners. Maximum amount of pets per stay is 2.

Please note: if a dog is to be left alone for any (but no longer than a few hours) period of time it has to be locked in a crate. We have a large size dog crate available for your free use, or bring your own. In any case you are responsible for cleaning after your pet and of course for any damage that they might cause.

The minimum stay is 2 nights but in certain cases we may consider a single night option, please contact us directly to discuss it.

We would be happy to accommodate your particular needs and we'd like to get to know you a bit prior to your arrival to ensure a happy, creative relationship.

Couldn't Ask for a Better Place!

  • 5 of 5

I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Pittsburgh -- the loft is close to a number of attractions in the city and is EXTREMELY convenient with its free parking and keycode access. Eva was the best host and left us a number of snacks and goodies for our time there, and went above and beyond preparing the place for our arrival. The loft itself is absolutely incredible, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I hope to return to Pittsburgh again, soon, and when I do, I will certainly be staying here again!

Great Space and Central to everything.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great short week in Pittsburgh. The loft was a great space for us and very well stocked with goodies. Enjoyed exploring and then coming back for relaxing at the loft. Easy walking distance to a lot of great stuff. Also enjoyed just crashing after a long day, getting a pizza & watching a movie on the BIG screen.

Pet friendly and easy access to everything!

  • 5 of 5

We are very grateful to the owners for having a pet friendly vacation rental. The location was very close to the strip and had easy access to Shadyside where we were visiting family. The loft was very well stocked with everything we needed plus lots of info on Pittsburgh and snacks. If there is a microbrewery lover in your group, you can send them a few blocks down to Penn Brewery for a beer or two while they wait for a delicious take-out dinner. I hear it is very nice inside. i stayed at the loft with the dog and relaxed. This loft would be great for a young family. There is plenty of room for everyone, and your children will love the colorful décor! The owners were also very responsive. There is plenty of parking as well.

Clean, welcoming and funky!

  • 5 of 5

Loved all the decor in the rental. Eva was super nice and even had some snacks and such stocked in the kitchen. (My 9 yr old really liked that). It worked out where we could fit our Honda Civic in the connected garage. Bonus! $7 Uber ride to town in 10 degree weather. Worth every penny!

Fun stay in The Burgh

  • 5 of 5

We had a really nice stay at Ben's loft. We walked to the Strip District and along the river trail to Stage AE and PNC Park. The loft was stocked with all we needed for munchies and breakfast. Ben is a kind and funny host. He has 2 other lifts in the same unit. We saw them all and they are all great places to stay. We hope to stay there next year on our annual visit to The Burgh.

Don't judge a book by it's cover

  • 4 of 5

From the outside, first thoughts were to turn and run.Inside, this unit was totally the opposite .Very unique,VERY well stocked ( A huge plus),and about a 20 minute walk along the river to PNC park.Attended a Pirate game Sat night and the Ribfest at Heinz Field on Sun.The riverwalk, further from the stadium isn't lighted which makes walking back to the unit a bit sketchy, however for about $9-12 (depends on time of day and how busy they are),we used Uber to ride back.First time using Uber and we were very impressed with how timely and cheap they were.Other than the one bed needing an upgrade and needing a few more pillows, this place was a gem and worked for our needs.
