Superb standard and comfort
Stunning property and views
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay.
This is a wonderful contemporary lakeside property that you will love. Set in the heart of the Lower Mill Estate at Somerford Keynes, it is light and airy with modern appliances and is very comfortable. The view from the upper floor living room over the adjacent lake through panoramic full height windows, (several of which open to give you the feeling of the outside becoming just an extension of the room itself) afford relaxing views of the abundant wildfowl.
We can highly recommend this as a place for an enjoyable break.
We had a fantastic stay here (a family of 4, with children aged 10 and 8). It was our first visit to the area and we enjoyed many activities -cycling, water sports, climbing, horse riding.
This property was fantastic, in particular the view was wonderful! Unlike some of the Cotswold Water Park properties which look out onto a lake surrounded by houses, this property looks out onto a peaceful lake which is not overlooked- sitting on the veranda is as lovely as the photos suggest!
An added bonus was the boat shed which was handy for storing our bikes.
We would all recommend this property!
We're so glad to hear you all enjoyed your stay! The view is gorgeous isn't it?! Do hope to welcome you back again in the future.
Lovely place surrounded by nature!
We loved this place - it's right on the edge of a nature reserve and while there are houses to left and right the views are lovely and it is absolutely quiet apart from birdsong. Very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you!
So glad to hear you had a great time and loved the house as much as we do! We hope to welcome you again in the future!
The property is stunning. Immaculately clean with everything there you could possibly need.
The property is set on a stunning estate which is very quiet and very safe. The house is stunning, the balcony with the view over the lake is hard to beat. We came to relax for a few days after our wedding and we couldn't have picked a more perfect setting. We were extremely lucky with the weather and sat out most of the time enjoying the view and tranquillity the property offers.
If you want to get away from it all but still have your home comforts and more this is perfect. The spa with the 2 pools etc is an added bonus.
Would highly recommend and would love to return.
What a luxury home from home!
The house is certainly equipped with five star facilities although it doesn't look magnificent from the front door. The luxury to us consists of a decent home cinema, 270 degree view angle from the setting room, a very well equipped kitchen facilities, easy access spa and tennis courts, two mountain bikes and a canoe. The help-yourself vintage whiskey, cognac and a chilled nice bottle of Cava were just a thrilling touch. More important part is how Paul and Val responded to my request. I asked to push back my holiday booking by a few days only a few days before my booked holidays and Val helped me to make it happen without any addional charge on my such a last minute mess-about. I'm fully aware we can't easily get this nowadays.
We stayed in this beautiful house for a week. Fully enjoyed the home facility, spa, tennis and walking around. We also visited a number of beautiful places nearby including the Roman Bath, Cheddar caves and Gorges, a nice little village Castle Combe, and the designer outlet stores in Swindon.
This is a relax week full of lovely memories ! Many thanks to Paul and Val for such a luxury house with thoughtful provisions. It is a place I would highly recommend to anyone. Good value for money!
