The condo we stayed at was really awesome. It was exactly as advertised. We had a great time and the grand kids loved Disney. Thank you for all the help received through Chris . It was a pleasure dealing with him. Every one at Westgate Towers was so friendly and helpful.Dave& Dottie Kitchen
Traveled to Orlando for a cheerleading competition at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. My very first interaction with the front desk was to tell me that my room was ready and we could check in early. Extra stars for that!! The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. We were also allowed late checkout, so I have no complaints for the front desk staff.
The condos are basically hotel rooms converted to function as condos. We had three separate rooms, two of which were sleeping rooms which were joined by a room that had been converted into a kitchen and the living space, but still had a full bathroom. It was so nice having that extra bathroom. The beds were VERY comfortable and we had more than enough room for 4 people.
The location is very convenient. Not far from the parks at all.
There are two cons to mention, but neither are worthy of losing a star: (1) We could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around, which wasn't a problem until I was ready to go to sleep. There must have been excited kids above us who ran around until about 11:30 our first night there. Luckily I travel with a sound machine, so that helps. I really didn't notice them much after that night. I'm sure that the front desk would have helped me out with that problem if I had called. (2) The parking lot fills up on the weekends leaving only check-in spaces. etc. available in the front. However, the front desk clerk told us to feel free to park there or in whatever space was available (no matter what it was designated for, except handicapped, of course). We parked in a check-in space and moved it the next morning.
Over all, this was a great experience. One thousand times better than staying in a cramped hotel room!! I would definitely stay there again.
We rented a 2 BR/3 BA unit. This property appears to be a hotel that has been converted to include a living space and a kitchen. We basically had 3 hotel rooms which connected via doors that could be locked off. It was perfect for us. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. I'm not sure if all rooms have the same type of mattresses, but if they do, you should be very pleased. I don't believe that you can request a certain unit because I think it pretty much operates as a hotel does -- you get whatever room is available based on what you have rented.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We arrived prior to check in, and our room was ready. One of our rooms had a problem with the air conditioner, and it was fixed within 10-15 minutes of letting the front desk know.
The only problem was parking on the weekend. If you get in late, you will have to park up front (in one of the "check-in" spaces). However, if that's the worst problem you have, then life is pretty good!
I definitely recommend this property and will be using it again. Enjoy!!
