Wildgoose Cottage is quaint with one bedroom which has a double bed and en suite bathroom also a TV and DVD player in the bedroom. Downstairs you will find a fully equipped kitchen with all the latest appliances including cooker, microwave and dish washer. There is also a 30 inch flat screen TV with freeview in the living room plus there is also a shower room downstairs. There is a log burner in the living room, we would love for you to use it. Please bring logs with you and once lit please keep the stove door closed for your own safety.

We have a Zero pet policy due to allergies in the family, we would like you politely to respect this request.

There is lots to do in Whitby.

Whilst in Whitby you have to try the world famous fish and chips available from numerous cafes on the sea front. Whitby was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Dracula which he wrote whilst staying at Whitby. On the hill there is the historic ruins of Whitby Abbey which was the inspiration for Carthax Abbey in Dracula. Whitby also has a sea faring history being the home of Captain Cook which there is a Captain Cook museum in which you can discover more about the legendary sea farer. Also there is the Whitby Regatta in August when you can see some amazing ships and boats. At the life boat museum you can find about the various daring rescues performed by the Whitby lifeguards over the many years.

If music is your thing then Whitby is the place for you hosting the world famous Whitby Goth Weekend twice a year, the 1960s weekend, the Folk Festival, Jazz and Soul Festival plus you also get to hear music and see films at the Bram Stokers International Film Festival at Whitby.

All in all your stay at Wildgoose Cottage will be fun, memorable and one that will stay in your hearts and minds forever.

Good sized cottage for 2!

  • 5 of 5

Blessed with good weather. Rather a long drive from main road to cottage. Lovely view over distant cliff of sea. Good draw from wood burner chimney. A washer/dryer would have been nice instead of the 2nd shower downstairs - but this is not a complaint. Nice and peaceful.

What a lovely Cottage with a lovely sea view.

  • 5 of 5

My husband stayed here for 5 days earlier in July, it was a lovely cosy airy cottage, lovely sea view from the kitchen and the bedroom. We have never stayed in a one bed cottage before with two shower rooms, what a bonus. Stoplessly clean.

We walked everyday to Whitby along the lovely scenic coastal path. Lovely quiet area, with added bonus of a farm along the lane that sold Strawberries, Raspberrys and Free Range Eggs, lovely. We loved it that much, we have booked next May! Look forward to coming back .

Iovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

It was comfortable and well equipped, everything we needed. A sunny patio with views of the sea. It wasn’t a problem having to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Would love to return and have recommended it to friends

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful cottage, everything we needed and a great, quiet location. Clean and comfy, well presented and had everything you need (2 bathrooms and showers and the USB plugs are useful!). Great access to the Cleveland way for walks and only a short drive from the Abbey and Whitby centre. Spacious cottage and amazing views from the windows, really felt like being a world away from everything. Thank you to the owners for such a great stay, we will definitely be back!
