Lovely weekend in a very pretty and peaceful location. The Lodge is immaculately decorated, well equipped and finished to a very high standard, there is literally nothing to fault! (The coffee and milk supplied were very much appreciated too!) Would highly recommend Owl Lodge to anyone! x

Perfectly peaceful get away. We stayed for 8 days and did our best to explore the surrounding areas. So much more to see! Having this place to come back to every night was a joy, it had everything we needed to enjoy the evenings.

Hayley is great and made sure we were comfortable. Will be coming back again!

So pretty, spotless, beautiful views, very warm and cosy - will come back

This was the perfect get away. We did pick the worst weekend for heavy snow and had to be towed up a hill only 5 minutes away which was an adventure. We drew back the bedroom curtains each morning snowy fields, trees and nothing but bird song could be heard.

James and Hayley we lovely. James came looking for us as the weather conditions were so awful and we had to abandon our car. James carried our suitcase down a steep, slippery, snowy gravel path on his back - what a hero. Many thanks to you both for a wonderful, want for nothing stay. We will definitely come back in warmer weather next time.

So peaceful!

After crossing the pond on the “red-eye”, we spent several nights at the Owl’s Lodge to get over jet lag and rest up for our adventure. It was so nice and it had everything we needed. We explored nearby towns and walked in the forest. Slept with the windows open and listened to the owls hoot at night. We ate our lunches out and went to the village Central Store to get dinner supplies to eat in for dinner. Owl’s Lodge was a great place to start our holiday, we definitely recommend it. Thank you Hayley!

A delightful little cabin in the woods with lovely views into the surrounding countryside

  • 5 of 5

The lodge was very clean with good quality furniture, excellent kitchen, comfortable bed and the most superb shower. The interior has been well thought out to provide a spacious non fussy arrangement which was easy to settle into and worked well throughout our stay. The location was ideal for walking, there was an excellent network of footpaths straight from the garden gate which took you into the beautiful Bentley Wood and the lovely rolling hills in the countryside around Winterslow. Haley and family, also the locals, were very friendly which made us feel guite at home. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owls Lodge and felt sad to leave it all behind; a very unique and special place which we feel privileged to have experienced staying there, hopefully we will have the opportunity to return.

Car: necessary

The medieval Cathedral City of Salisbury is approximately 8 miles to the east of Winterslow. The equally inviting towns of Stockbridge, Lymington, Poole, Bournemouth, Winchester and the stunning New Forest National Park are all within a 45 min car journey.

We are also a short car journey away from Stonehenge.

Owls Lodge is sat along the Clarendon Way, the old roman road between Salisbury and Winchester. A 26.2 mile walk jog or run for those of you feeling energetic!

Bentley Woods is nearby (10 minute walk) with some 1700 acres of woodland to explore. A site of special scientific interest, a nationally renowned haven for rare butterflies, with an abundance of wildlife.
