Cueva de la Muralla is located in a unique enclave in the heart of Sacromonte, dating from the seventeenth century and just above it passes one of the walls of the Nazari Kingdom of Granada. A few meters away you can see the best views of the city and the Alhambra.
The cave has everything you need to spend a great day in one of the oldest and most beautiful quarters of the city. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and utensils to cook if you do not feel like going out to visit the city and savor the delicacies of this land.
The cave has two beds, one double and another that is a large sofa that can be used for two children or adults. If they want to come with their children there is no problem, it is perfect for them.
It is important to leave the windows open so that the cave can breathe. The cave is not a normal house and needs the air to circulate inside. When you are inside you can close the windows without problem, but when you go to visit the city it is best to leave them open. If all the windows are closed for several days, moisture condenses inside.
Cueva de la Muralla is located in the historic Sacromonte neighborhood with spectacular views of the city and the Alhambra and where there are numerous caves with the possibility of seeing flamenco shows. Access by car is very complicated as it is restricted from 11 am to 2 pm every day, from Sunday to Wednesday from 8 pm to midnight and from Thursday to Saturday and before 8 pm to 7:30 am. Taxis, minibuses and residents have free access. In the rest of schedules it is possible to circulate but there is no possibility of parking. In the San Cristóbal car park, which is 10 minutes away from the cave, you can park on Friday at 4:00 p.m. on Sundays until 11:59 p.m. Also holidays and eves of holidays. In case of coming during the week you should park in the parking lot of San Agustín and take a taxi from Gran Vía de Colón to Placeta Albaida. No other options.
The Sacromonte neighborhood is pedestrian access and its streets are cobbled. It is recommended not to bring very heavy luggage such as traditional suitcases of wheels.
The caves maintain the same temperature throughout the year, whether winter or summer. It oscillates between 18-22ºC.
