Fabulous location close to Torquay marina, beaches, coastal footpath, yacht club, boat trips across the bay to Brixham and to Dartmouth, fishing and wild life cruises, Living Coasts, steam railway, theatre, excellent cafe's, bars and restaurants, including the Michelin starred Elephant and the brilliant Number 7 Fish Bistro, an easy stroll to the shops and several beaches and right on the coastal footpath with pretty well everything else you might need on hand. There are a lot of pretty, interesting, small towns nearby including Totnes, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. The journey to Kingsbridge from Dartmouth along the coast must be amongst the pretttiest trips in the world. There are several excellent National Trust properties nearby, amongst them Coleton Fishacre, with its out of this world gardens, Agatha Christie's home, Torre Abbey, Berty Pomeroy Castle said to be the most haunted in England, Compton Castle occupied by the same family since the reign of the first Queen Elizabeth and Ugbrook House with its fine gardens and magnificent Dartmoor close by. The apartment is within yards of the water with the marina on one side and Beacon Cove on the other and within an easy and enjoyable walk to Meadfoot Beach and Torre Abbey Sands. The apartment is peaceful, comfortable, well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, and all usual kitchen applicances it has a large airy and comfortable living room, newly fitted galley kitchen and two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom and the other with an ensuite shower room. There is a pleasant courtyard which is especially sunny in the morning. The apartment is on the ground floor and easy access, pet and child friendly. Gillian purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Gillian chose Torquay
I love this flat. It is quirky but has a beautiful living room with perfect Georgian proportions. The bedrooms are cosy. Both are double, but not very big and both have ensuite facilities. The kitchen was newly fitted last year and has everything you need. There is a nice sized courtyard which is nice to sit out in and enjoy a drink
What makes this Apartment unique
This flat is fabulously located for a holiday. It is close to everything you could want on holiday. The two best reasturants in town are on Beacon Terrace. Just yards away is Beacon Cove which is tucked away and almost a secret. There is a lovely walk along the coastal footpath to Meadfoot Beach and Abbey sands is just a stroll away. The theatre is near so are the shops and theer are boat trips to Dartmouth and Brixham just a short hop away. Living coats is on the doorstep. You don't need a car at all as everything is on the doorstep. The downside is thata there is jo dedicate dparking but you can get a permit for the public carpark close by. It is also a pit but the flat no longer has a clear view of the sea despite being a stone's throw from it. But I would sttill wholeheatedly recommend this flat for a break. It si great.

Lovely Time in Torquay
Great location and better nights sleep than in any hotel we've been in for a while. A nice flat with everything you need, even a DVD in the cupboard which was great for late nights. When we come Torquay again will definitely look to stay here. Thanks.
Thanks for the lovely review. I am glad that you had such a great time and certainly hope that you do come again.
We absolutely loved it, everything we as a family could wish for and more!
Lovely clean, spacious well equipped rental in a fantastic location. Everything we needed to enjoy a lovely holiday in Torquay. Ideal base to visit all the surrounding area, close to shops, eateries, pubs and bars. We absolutely loved it, particularly the space. We would love to stay again next year. Very friendly and helpful owner who ensured everything went smoothly. Highly recommend to anyone.
Very nice accommodation but could do with afew personal touches such as toilet rolls and possibly a welcome pack. Great for location .
I am so sorry if you didn't get loo rolls. We always put fresh ones in every bathroom. There must have been a slip up.
Had a lovely stay at Torquay and this lovely apartment, spacious rooms showers are hot and powerful everything on door step. Greeting was excellent highly recommend the apartment and owner.
There are almost too many local attractions to mention. The marina and beaches are very close. There is a good local museum, 3 local theatres, cinema and fantastic restaurants nearby, as well as bars and a nightclub. There are a number of historical sites, castles and national trust houses and gardens. There are Napoleonic war sites at Brixham and World War II sites to visit in Torquay and Slapton. Devon has a fabulous coastline, and the flat is right on the coastal footpath as well as countryside and the Dartmoor is well worth a visit , as are the pretty towns and villages of the South Hams. There are boat trips to Brixham and to Dartmouth and trips bu bus, steam train and boat to Agatha Christies House and up river to unissable Totnes
