The Owner purchased this villa in 2008
Went to SJDS running away from the tri state cold and stress to relax and the villa was comfortable, staff nice, excellent restaurant by the pool so couldn't be any more helpful to my purpose the fact that I didn't have to deal with any issues just RELAX
The villa was very clean and the layout great for two persons/couples that want a little privacy. Being a villa at the top of the hill, beautiful views are maximized. The service staff in place at the resort were fantastic and the pool and restaurant is a great spot to start or wind down your day. WiFi in the villa was perfectly adequate and water pressure was great. The villa did lose power one night but was fixed prior to sunrise by the palermo staff. Would definately return Thanks!
The service is excellent, the property was full of scorpion inside and outside, the bed clothes was full of stains, and the electric bill was crazy high specially because we didn't have power an entire day and due to the scorpions problem, we didn't spend a lot of time inside of the property and of course I turn off th A/C. My electric bill for 2 days was $85.
The property was a cute 2 bedroom villa in a two story floorplan with a nice view to the bay. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Nonetheless, the kitchen and dinning area were fairly small and quite tight for 4. Kitchen utensils, glassware and silverware could be improved. The toaster did not work. A big negative was that electricity was not included in the price and the villa is not energy efficient. The unit has an outdated inneficient central AC unit that covers only part of the villa, and a mini Split unit in the bedroom downstairs. The stove and wáter heaters are electric. Cost of energy paid was high even when we only turned the AC late at nights. If not careful, the electric charges can pile up very rapidly. A recommendation would be to change the AC units for energy efficient ones, an change the stove and water heaters with gas units.
Guests pay for the electricity that they use during the stay. The villa has electricity meter. These expenses are paid at the reception at check-out
