About the property

Very well docorated two bedroom aptment looking into the famed Villamartin Plaza

What better way to start your holiday than by calling our manager as you arrive at the airport and being given detailed instructions how to find the Plaza, and being greeted, when you arrive, with the keys. You will then be shown to the clean and spacious apartment and given clear instructions on the use of the various electrical apparatus that we have installed. There is a welcome pack consisting of the essentials to get you started plus a cool drink so that you can relax on arrival and not need to worry about shopping the moment that you arrive. You have time to discover the layout of the apartment with its larger than average air-conditioned lounge/diner, the two spacious bedrooms, each equipped with twin beds, allowing great flexibility on the set-up which can be moved to suit your needs. Each bedroom has a spacious double fitted wardrobe and adequate storage for your stay, including a further double fitted wardrobe in the bathroom for your cases, or as an overflow. The bath/shower is complemented by a bidet, wash basin and the toilet. You may now decide to enjoy a drink from the welcome pack sitting on the balcony overlooking the Plaza. There is a table and four chairs for your comfort. There is also a small barbecue and a washing line so that you can dry your washing taken from the machine in the utility room. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary implements for the preparation of meals, although there is also a micro wave for re-heating if cooking is too much. To make your holiday drudgery free, we have installed a dishwasher, allowing you to enjoy your holiday for the maximum of time. We have tried to think of everything, including satellite TV from the UK giving the standard non-pay programmes, but if we have omitted something, your suggestions will be gratefully received and, wherever possible, we will act on them. You will note in the bathroom that we have installed a temperature controlled shower, this followed a suggestion from a former customer. All linen is provided together with towels, although beach towels are not.

At the Plaza are numerous restaurants catering for most tastes from fine-dining to fish & chips, but we will leave that to you to discover. There is also a bank, small supermarket, hairdressers, stationers, and most facilities so that, should you decide, you need not leave the plaza, although, should you decide to venture further afield, within 5 minutes’ drive there is Spains largest open air shopping Mall with many of the larger stores represented, restaurants and a hypermarket. The first of the many blue flag beaches is situated 7 mins. drive away. For your entertainment, for the petrol heads, a go-cart circuit is nearby, offering a track of over 1km length with timed laps etc.. The local golf course is a mere 2 mins walk away with 4 other championship style courses within 20 mins. There is a waterpark in Torrevieja for cooling off whilst having fun.

For the kids and family, behind the plaza apartments, but still on site, is an entertainment zone containing air-hockey, pool tables & spring trampolines plus other attractions. The communal swimming pool is secure and reserved for residents/holidaymakers staying on the plaza. there is a park around the pool with trees offering constant shade for those that wish it, while also providing sunbathing for those that want a good tan. As an extra service, there will be a brochure in the apartment giving hints for your holidays and details of places to visit that you may not have thought of, or find. It covers many aspects of things you may wish to do or eat during your stay, although we do not claim to have the monopoly of ideas, we always welcome your suggestions to pass on to future guests. Our aim is to make sure that we take care of the dull items, you enjoy your holidays. If there is any damage done, or breakdowns, please get in touch with our manager who lives on site and will rectify the matters as quickly as humanly possible.

We know that during the late autumn, winter and early spring months, the evenings can be cool, so we have heaters installed for your use, and, duvets and blankets can be provided at no extra cost on request. Our aim is to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is a compulsory cleaning charge of €60 payable on arrival.

There are many apartments around Villamartin, but we think that you will really enjoy the location and facilities that we offer, whether it is for people watching from the balcony straight into the Plaza, also ideal for a ringside seat for the entertainment that happens nightly in the Plaza during the summer, enjoying the restaurants, sunbathing and swimming in the gated pool area which is a 2 minute walk from the apartment, golfing, shopping at La Zenia Boulevard, or discovering the beauty of Costa Blanca South with the many blue flag beaches. Torrevieja is the large town nearby with its marinas and Mediterranean Promenade along the seafront. Parking can be free in the streets behind the seafront or for a small charge you can park for the whole day along the harbour wall. The whole of the Costa Blanca South coast has many blue flag resorts close at hand with several unique areas of natural beauty. We have tried to make our apartment a pleasant oasis and base for your holiday, either as touring centre (motorway is 5 minutes away) or for lazing in the sun. The reviews that have been received bear testimony to the quality of the stay that our customers expect.

The Plaza has been built in typical Spanish Plaza style with restaurants & bars on 2 levels, palm trees and a small garden fountain in the middle. No matter what time of day, there is activity in the Plaza, there is also an area above the apartment for sunbathing. The apartment is more spacious than many around and always feels bright and airy.

Brilliant location. Lovely apartment

Villa Martin Plaza is an amazing place for a holiday. We were only there Friday to Monday and enjoyed every minute. The apartment is clean and spacious and has everything you need. The balcony is South facing and overlooks the Plaza. Slight pitfall is that the apartment is over an Irish bar and they do like their kareoke, so if you have young children who want an early night, sleep them in the front bedroom.

If you want to get out and about you would need a car, although we did walk to the market (exhausting) had to get a taxi back which cost €8.

Overall experience, lovely apartment, fantastic, friendly location.

We will definitely go back.

Great apartment in a good location

The apartment is a great layout with plenty of space and storage. However it is a little tired and in need of a little TLC. There is no internet at the moment as the owner advised me that the area does not have a modern network. The location is great but you may need some ear plugs if you want to sleep before 2.30am

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, the apartment was fully re-decorated before the 2017 season. The internet is a problem that only the service providers can address. We are constantly looking for a solution to this. Rules of the Plaza are that all music stops at 1.00am, but your suggestion will be taken on board and when we return to the apartment we will put a small supply in the bedside tables so you can look for them when you return. Thanks for the constructive review, it is always helpful.

villamartin appartment

we had a great time the appartment had all we need there was wine milk and tea and coffee when we arrived villamartin is very lively plenty of bars and places to eat there are live acts on at night some went on till late but with the windows shut it was ok.if you like golf the villamartin course is great.we would stay here again we had a good time.

We have just arrived back home after a weeks holiday in Alicante. We had an amazing holiday! Peter and Greta's apartment is really lovely. Very modern furniture! Bathroom a bit dated, but very clean and does the job! The location is brilliant, as you are above all the bars and restaurants. Its great for people watching at night time. You get the sun all day long. We had the sun from 8.45am until 18.45pm, and this is in October. It is noisy which is to be expected, but its a good noise, as it all part of the holiday experience. At night time, you close the windows and you can hardly hear the noise. My mother in her 70's and myself slept like babies, and my mother is a very light sleeper. Bus stop 1 minutes walk from the apartment for the both directions. The taxi rank is right outside the complex. The La Zenia shopping centre is 5 minutes drive away in the taxi, which cost around 7 euros. You can get the bus for 1 euro 35 cents, which takes about 15 minutes. You have a supermarket on the complex, which is good value for money! I would say this apartment would suit any age groups apart from families, but that's only my opinion! I would not bring my children here. But like I said that is my opinion. Graham who meets and greets you is very nice and very helpful.Peter the owner is also very helpful! Any questions I had to ask he answered all of them immediately, and I had a few to ask especially with regards to my mother. If you go, you will have a great time here!

FANTASTIC LUXURY APARTMENT "outstanding"

Great apartment either as couple, friends or family of 4. We booked our stay during the month of August and the inside of the apartment is very well decorated/comfortable beds and has all the mod cons you need including a washing machine, microwave, oven. A plus bonus is the air conditioning unit in the living room which helped us cool down during the summer temperatures what a relief we had this. The apartment had Satellite TV with all UK channels so we could catch up on some of the soaps. The apartment looks over the lively villamartin plaza with bars, restaurants and evening entertainment. There is ample space on the terrace to sit and watch everything going on in the plaza. I highly recommend this place for the Villamartin experience.

The apartment is ideally located for most activities. Villamartin Plaza is well known as a centre for bars and restaurants with a wide selection of styles, from fine Dining to tapas, Indian, German, Argentinian Steaks, fish & chips, with Chinese just across the street. Also on the Plaza are hairdressers, a supermarket, banks, and several other shops. 2 minutes walk away is the first of 4 local golf clubs, all within 10 mins drive, offering championship courses and all are open for visitors. If beaches are your thing, there are many blue flag beaches within 20 minutes, the closest being 7 minutes away. Shopping? There is Europe’s largest open air shopping mall with all of the major names being represented, plus the major fast food restaurants and many other independent eateries. Where next? Maybe it is nature that you are seeking, Europes largest flock of Flamingos can be found at San Pedro del Pinater, follow the signs to the port and take a walk through the Salinas (salt lakes , the local major export ), you may want to take a mud bath in the mineral rich waters, or visit the gardens at Elche. Further along the coast is Santa Paulo, another salt producing area with their Flamingos. Further afield at Fortuna you can enjoy bathing in hot springs. For history, visit the old towns of Orihuela and Murcia. For the adventurous there is the go-kart circuit near Playa Flamenca, or the water park at Torrevieja. In the evenings, return to the apartment and enjoy the entertainment in the Plaza. This is based on our own experiences and that of our previous guests. Before getting an entry we visit it ourselves to "check it out"
