Very nice apartment in an apartment excellent location

Nice and clean , well equipped apartment. Overlooking the entrance to the Marina, so lots to look at. Close to all the bars and restaurants and we reached it by train from the airport plus a cab from Benelmadena station (less than 10 Euro ).

Lovely apartment.

Roomy and well equipped. In a good position for the beach and all the amenities of the marine. Difficult to find fault. The views from the large balcony are lovely and from the roof terrace and pool. Unfortunately this time of year we couldn't use the pool itself as its not heated.

Paying for location

Booked for its excellent location and this 2nd floor apartment relies on this aspect. Main bedroom suffers noise through the night from both traffic and people. Spacious and relatively clean with a good sea view and double balcony. Air con, wifi and shower power are all very good. Roof top pool is average. We weren't expecting luxury given the photos advertised. However, the apartment is old, outdated and needs investment. Smell from septic tank immediately on entrance. In need of a new kitchen and everything with it. We only used the fridge freezer. Needs two new bathrooms and living room furniture. We suffered grim bedding for the first three nights. Basic things like bedding, pillows and towels etc. all need replacing. Guests deserve better. Very cheeky to request €40 extra if you want the apartment cleaning. Especially when booking for two weeks and given what guests pay. I wouldn't recommend or return. This apartment rests solely on its location and guessing whilst people continue to book the owners won't think to invest.

Owner's Response: Although not new, the apartment is very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has a new fridge/freezer, full oven and 4 ring hob, dishwasher, coffee machine etc. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. The apartment has a good Aircon system , free Wifi and UK TV channels. Very spacious lounge with enough comfortable seating for 5 people and there are 2 large terraces with great sea views. As soon as the owner received a message for new bed linen it was changed. An extra clean during a stay is available for €30 (not €40). I think these clients are complaining ficticiously to cover up the fact that they broke the washing machine ( which they were not charged for).

Our experience in the apartment

We have just had 7 fantastic weeks in this apartment, which was everything we wanted. The position was great it was very well fitted out. The Manager Barbara was on hand when we arrived and she explained how to work everything and gave us the wi-fi log in. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay and have re booked for next year.
