About the property

Lovely medieval timber-framed Cottage, ideal for family of 4-6 people

New to the market:

A beautiful medieval timber framed hall house that has recently been completely refurbished. This cosy cottage is in a wonderful condition and has many of its original features - heavily timbered with a dragon beam and inglenook fireplaces.

It has modern features such as a lovely kitchen diner with brand new appliances and large gas hob and oven. The lounge has a Flatscreen TV (free view and DVD player) and a log effect gas fire.

The amazing master bedroom has a magnificent king size four poster bed and there are two cosy single bedrooms.

The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable bed for two people.

The bathroom comprises of a period style wash basin and lavatory and a spacious shower with instant hot water.

There is no parking outside the property, but you will find many car parks close by and public transport is only yards away as its Maidstone's excellent museum.

Why Old House Holidays chose Maidstone

The house is located right in the centre of Maidstone with it's lively cosmopolitan bars, cafes and shops; there is a lovely park adjacent to the house and the river Medway is about a two minutes walk.

Historic Maidstone is Kent's county town with an archbishops palace, many historic buildings and the CAMRA pub of the year winner for West-Kent, the quirky and friendly Riffle Volunteer in Union Street.

We'll Be Back!

  • 5 of 5

House from 1416, probably; plumbing from 2016, definitely. What's not to like about that?!

Two weeks of living close to pubs and shops and parks and history. A block away from a train station to take us wherever we wanted to go (more pubs, more shops, more history). A landlady who answered texts within minutes, and a landlord who arrived at breakfast with a new hair dryer for this long-haired lassie.
