This 1 bedroom apartment apartment is on the ground floor of a newly renovated 200 year old building. The open plan layout gives the apartment a spacious airy feel to the place. The apartment has everything you could wish for. Comfortable seating, a well equipped kitchen with all the appliances you could wish for and TV with Satellite and Wifi. The apartment has a private terrace with garden seating.

The bathroom has a walk in shower and there is a washing machine and tumble dryer too.

For those moments when you would like to relax even more there is a wellness area, which can be reserved for private use. This includes a whirlpool, sauna/infrared cabin and lounge area.

And in case you still have some energy to burn, there’s a fitness room too.

About Diarmuid Conaty

Apart from our unusual names, we are bound by a love of this area and the outdoors. We met in Interlaken in 2004.

About D: A true Irishman although I have been in this area for over fifteen years. My love of snow brought me here, but with time I have come to appreciate the summers more and more. I am a qualified rafting and canyoning guide and worked mostly in rope access before setting up our business providing quality holiday homes to our international visitors.

About Kashi: My passport is Belgian and although I was born there, I have spent most of my life abroad. My parents instilled me with an unquenchable lust for travel and adventure. Since growing up in Nepal, I have lived and worked in the outdoors in Spain, Mexico, Nepal, Italy and Austria but decided to settle in this beautiful area. The last six years I have been employed as a photographer, hiking and snowshoeing guide, ski instructor, tour guide and event planner. Currently I am mostly a mom, the toughest and most rewarding job ever!

About Keanu: Born in Interlaken in 2008, I am a Swiss-born Belgian Paddy. I share my parents' love for water and I really like the Octonauts, diggers and my wolf Igor. I go crazy for cheddar cheese, and love to talk on skype.

About Kiran: Born in April 2010, I am the latest addition to the family. I'm a happy kid, I refuse to acknowledge that I'm the youngest and I love all animals.

We are enamored with this area and there is not a day that goes by that we do not think we are the luckiest people to be able to live here. Now we have the opportunity to help you have the best holiday of your lives.

Five minutes walk from the center of Interlaken, the property is also on direct bus lines to Interlaken West, Interlaken Ost, and Wilderswil train stations. This leads you directly into the heart of the Jungfrau region where you can enjoy the magical valleys of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, and also the turquoise glacial lakes of Thun and Brienz.

2 minutes drive from the highway connecting to Luzern and Bern it is great if you wish to visit more distant Swiss attractions.

For those seeking a thrill we are well connected with all the activities in what is considered the adventure capital of Europe.

And if you would prefer a quiet stroll then is the beautiful 'kleine Rugen' just outside the apartment which boasts some fantastic walks for all levels and an open grill area so you can enjoy some fantastic time outside with the family.

This apartment is a little jewel. From each of the windows you have a great view. Beside the 'Kleine Rugen' you have a wide variety of short walks to long hikes starting right outside the door. At the same time you are 5 minutes walk from the center of Interlaken and all it has to offer.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in each apartment. The bathroom is designed for the convenience of visitors from all of the world.

Perfect apartment, location, and hosts!

We loved our stay here! Diarmuid and Cascia are wonderful, kind hosts. They offered great suggestions on things to do, restaurants, etc. Our luggage was delayed and they lent us jackets to wear until our luggage was delivered. The apartment is large, very modern, and has every convenience, even a clothes dryer! The neighborhood is great,with many restaurants within a few blocks and lots of nice scenic walks. The lovely 200 year old building is close to the road but the bedroom is at the back of the house so it is very quiet. Thank you, Diarmuid and Cascia for your hospitality! We hope to see you again.

Great Apartment, Great Location!

We recently stayed a week in this cozy apartment, and are so glad we did. It was a perfect home base for hiking/sightseeing in central Switzerland. The apartment was very comfortably furnished, well equipped, and very well maintained. On clear days, we had a nice view of the Jungfrau from the front windows. The location (in Matten) was really convenient. We relied on public transportation and our feet to get around, so having a bus stop just outside our front door was a huge bonus. And it was just a short stroll to grocery stores, restaurants, a friendly pub, and a bakery. Diarmuid and Cascia, the owners, were super...so welcoming and responsive...and we very much appreciated their excellent advice/recommendations. Bottom line: a great experience we highly recommend to anyone planning a stay in the Interlaken area!

Cute, comfortable apartment in a great location

Had a wonderful stay here! Cascia and Diarmuid were the perfect hosts and gave me loads of helpful information on making the most of my Interlaken stay. The apartment was very cute, really comfortable, and outfitted with all the comforts I needed. It's perfectly situated to get around town or to transport to other sites nearby. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - lovely experience.

Matten and Interlaken are well connected and make it an ideal base to explore the Jungfrau region and offers a great alternative to busy ski resorts in the winter.

Did we forget to mention that the apartment has a view of the magnificent Jungfrau?
