Fara San Martino is one of the ports of entry to the Majella National Park, Environmental heaven and the kingdom of the Apennine wolf, crossed by over seven hundred kilometers of walking trails.
Gorges of San Martino, a few minutes from the village, offering an impressive and unique landscape and to introduce one of the longest canyon in Italy (14 km). The headwaters of the Verde River and its waterfalls, are a destination for walks and picnics. In winter you can go skiing in the Upper Sangro, that is just over 30 km from the village.
Who loves the sea, however, it can reach in half an hour the famous "Costa dei Trabocchi" stretch of very heterogeneous Adriatic coast, which combines sandy beaches to rocky cliffs and jagged headlands.
