Our family of 3 had a wonderfully relaxing time staying here at Glitter Bay. Dealing with Cristina when arranging our stay went smoothly. The apartment was immaculate and what you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. It was spacious, light and airy. The location for Glitter Bay is perfect, no hassle to just stroll down to the pool and gorgeous beach area where sunbeds are readily available. The snack bar was unfortunately shut for most of our stay, opening only on the last day, however it was open for drinks. This was not a huge issue as we just walked along the beach to the Fairmont next door or lonestar for breakfast as well as staying in for breakfast on a couple of days. There are plenty of restaurants to go to in the area for a slap up meal or just something quick and easy. Bus stop right outside or taxis are easy to order. There are tennis courts in the grounds but I would suggest taking your own balls as the ones provided were not very bouncy. A great holiday and we would consider staying in this apartment again.
Family vacation in Barbados
We were a family of 4 adults who totally enjoyed the island and our stay at Glitter Bay. We stayed in the Twin Palms villa, it was very spacious and very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The outdoor deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening meals. Christina was very responsive to any of our questions and offered to book our catamaran sail. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Just returned from another two week break at Twin Palms. Thanks to Christina for her usual impeccable organisation and arrangements. Thanks to Chauntel, our wonderful, friendly and cheerful Housekeeper, for her kind help and assistance during our stay.
The apartment has been refurbished ( yet again ) to maintain the excellent standards of decor, practicality and overall ambience.
Every description of Twin Palms is accurate and in my opinion, understated. It truly is an excellent place to stay when visiting Barbados.
We look forward to returning to Twin Palms again next January for another wonderful holiday experience.

Really nice condo.
A great place to stay Barbados. Our group was four adults and we never felt crowded. Kitchen small but efficient and well equipped. Chantell (maid) is a sweetheart. Beds were comfy. A short walk to the pool or beach, neither of which were overcrowded in eary February. Christine (property manager) is very helpful. There is a beach/pool concierge that dispenses towels, assigns beach chairs and answers any questions or can provide recommendations. There are beach towels in the condo for times when you want to explore other beaches or take in a boat ride. In short: a very comfortable base to explore a lovely island, or just relax in the complex's comfy beach lounge chairs looking out over the ocean. All four of us had a great, relaxed stay.
One bit of feedback: the Smeg brand appliances were a bit of a mystery at first for us Americans, and some of the button-labels on the microwave were faded, so there was some guessing and fumbling in the kitchen at first. A user guide in a kitchen drawer would have been helpful. Totally nit-picking here, the place totally deserves the 5-star rating. (After using these appliaces for a week, I am wondering if they are available in the States. Dishwasher is as quiet as a mouse.)
Exceeded all expectations
We have just retuned from a fantastic 2 week holiday staying at Twin Palms. This really is a fantastic appartment in a perfect location. The photos represent the appartment well but if anything it was bigger and better that we expected. The rooms are spacious, terrace fantastic with and the appartment is equipped with everything you need. The robes were a nice touch that we appreciated. The housekeeper Chauntel is great and the ensures that appartment is always immaculate. The Glitter bay grounds/pool/beach are maintained to a high standard and the allocation of loungers and parasols for the duration of the stay was great, as was being able to collect towels on a daily basis from the concierge desk. Glitterbay is situated on a lovely long stretch of beach that was never busy. There are a number of good value beach bars along the beach, all are very good for lunch or a drink. We visited a couple of other beaches but they weren't a patch on Glitter bay. Glitter bay is also well located for accessing the restaurants and shops in Holetown which are a short taxi ride away, although we tended to stop a bus at the gate as they were so frequent and took you in in minutes for $1US. I would highly recommend this appartment, it is ideal for a family or group of friends. Anoushka and Christiana (property managers) were really helpful and everything went smoothly through the booking process and our stay. I'm sure this will not be our last visit to Glitter bay.
Twin Palms is located just a few minutes from Holetown on the breathtaking West Coast in St James where you can relax on a gorgeous stretch of white sandy beach overlooking the turquoise water of the Caribbean. Beach towels, sun loungers with mattresses and parasols are all available free of charge each morning on the beach or by the pool. You can enjoy every type of water sport, water skiing, sailing, diving and paragliding. The snorkelling all along the beach is excellent and you may even see a turtle! Windsurfing is available on the south coast side of the island. Game fishing and boats for hire can all be arranged. Close by are a variety of world class restaurants, golf, polo and numerous other attractions. Within ten minutes you can be up in the hills away from the manicured lawns and landscaped gardens. There, among the quaintly painted matchbox houses there is a different world of cane fields, rum bars, tiny villages and magnificent views.
