About Phill danbury

I live in the cottage next door so always on hand if you have a question

Phill danbury purchased this house in 2008

Why Phill danbury chose Bexhill-on-Sea

I lived in London for a long tim and around 14 years ago I popped down here and ended up buying this cottage as it was so charming

What makes this house unique

I love the fact that you are very rural and I can walk my dog miles through the countryside. The occasional badger or fox may pop up to say hello and the bats are amazing to watch. Everything is fairly local and you can walk drive take a train to many interesting parts of the south coast

Very charming cottage. Really relaxing. Very peaceful

  • 4 of 5

Phil was very welcoming and made us feel relaxed.

The only thing that surprised me was the state of the unmade country lane leading to the cottage. On several occasions my small car "bottomed out" due to the depth of some of the potholes. Possibly may be better suited with cars with more ground clearance.

Access by private road. this was an unmade track with large potholes, lucky we had fine weather all week. Seating was uncomfortable. otherwise generally passable.

Owner's Response: Thankyou for the review. I’m sorry there is not a lot I can do about the lane,it does explain this in the advert, but it is part of the 1066 walks and the stunning historic countryside around it. As for the seating as I say to all my guests if there is something you are unhappy with please let me know and I will try and address this on your stay as I wish you to have the best get away at my property.I’m glad the weather was good and you got to see all the places you wanted to visit. I hope the imformation about the air museum you asked me to find was useful. Thankyou and have a good trip. Phill

We have just came back from wonderful long May Bank Holiday. 4 days at Phil's cottage was a perfect ,exactly what we need it. Location is great, out for busy noisy roads , souranded by green fileds, planty of walking paths around. Cottage was clean and equipped with all you need plus extras - home made jam (yummy !!!) eggs , fresh bread and milk - again thank you Phill.

Phill is a great host , full of advise and suggestion what to do/where do go/ park the car :) . Recommending this cottage to everyone.

Cosy and quite

  • 5 of 5

Was just what we needed for a weekend away without the kiddies. Phill made us very welcome and was on hand if needed. The bread, butter, local eggs and home made jam was a nice surprise and lovely.

Also a nice enclosed private garden to sit out in and not worrie about the dog.

Well done Phill will definitely come again!

The best host in the world! Superb location on the 1066 route

  • 5 of 5

This property is a one bedroom house, which is quite unique. You have everything you need for your stay at this property. Except for a hairdryer which is not compulsary or anything, but when asked about it, Phil actually went and bought one straight away! His hospitality is a five star and beyond. The location is excellent as well, seaside is 5 min drive away and all the main attractions are nearby. The house is small, but enough for a small family. Clean and welcoming. Not to mention a welcome gesture of fresh eggs, bread and milk. And coffee, tea, sugar is available as well. Can not fault our stay!

Perfect for our regular visits to Bexhill

  • 4 of 5

This was our first stay here - We feel we have now found ‘the’ place for our regular visits to Bexhill to visit my Mum. The cottage is perfect and very comfortable. Our dog, Lucy, made herself at home too. Phil gave us a very warm welcome and showed us round, we loved the welcome pack of crusty bread, butter, milk and eggs as well as a packet of gorgeous cookies! We would highly recommend this Cottage set in a very quiet setting to anyone visiting Bexhill.
