A quaint Enid Blytonesque cottage by the sea
Stayed for a week with three teenagers and husband earlier this month. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. It had an 'oldy-worldy' charm, suitable for a 'holiday cottage'. The direct access to the beach was wonderful. The owner was great at answering queries and giving precise directions as the cottage was hard for the Waitrose delivery man to find! The area has been developed significantly since the cottage was built and there is further development taking place in an adjoining field. This, coupled with the significant sea wall, has undoubtedly changed the feel of the local area. With three teenagers there was some concern that the WiFi wasn't unlimited. It was impossible to know how much we'd used/got left.Sad, I know, but seems unavoidable these days.
We would certainly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to explore the local area.
Thank you ever so much for your lovely and informative comments on Greycot, we are delighted that you and your family enjoyed your time exploring the area and visiting the beach. All of your feedback has been passed on to the owner for their consideration.
St Mary's Bay lies on the South East Coast of the Romney Marsh between the villages of Littlestone and Dymchurch. There is an abundance of places to go and things to explore. The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway offers fun for all the family, whatever your age.
