This property is a stylish centrally located one-bedroom apartment in an architecturally significant building (C-listed) in a charming location beside the famous Grassmarket and within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, festival venues, shops, nightlife and transport connections.

The living room is spacious, with plenty of room for the sofas and chairs as well as the temporary double Aerobed that can be used if it’s needed. There is a TV with satellite channels and a workstation from which you can log on to free wifi internet access on your laptop. From the picturesque window, you can see Edinburgh Castle through the buildings across the street.

The modern kitchen (with dining table and chairs) is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine (a clothes horse is provided for drying clothes), dishwasher, fridge-freezer, cooker and microwave. French doors open on to a small (standing room only!) balcony, ideal for your morning cup of coffee.

The double bedroom is fully carpeted and attractively furnished, and is quietly located at the rear of the apartment. Like in the kitchen, French doors open on to a little balcony (again, standing room only!). The bathroom has a wash-hand basin and bathtub with shower over. The apartment has full central heating.

Excellent location

We selected this knowing it was a top floor tenement and excellently positioned - and it was ! Well furnished , clean and comfortable. Kitchen and living room spacious and suited us just fine. Was impressed got a welcome text on first night and asking if everything was ok. I mentioned wifi was fragile and it was fixed by next day ! 10/10.

(I recommend someone looks a cooker knobs - its extremely difficult to know where "off" is and different on all 4)

Amazing little Gem of a find in the Heart of Edingburgh

The flat was well presented with everything you could need, clean and comfortable furnishings. and a great comfy bed. The information from owners was comprehensive and very informative and quick to respond to queries.

The flat benefits from having a Sainsbury's store 5 minutes walking distance from it which is great to pick up a few groceries. Also there is a great cocktail bar which was friendly and reasonably priced a few doors down, and next to that a great breakfast cafe to grab a full Scottish Breakfast for just £6.80. This might make it sound like it would be noisy but in fact once inside the flat you could quietly watch the world go by. It was the first time I had visited Edinburgh and this Flat was in walking distance of everything you needed to visit. Well worth a visit is the Whiskey Tour near the castle, the castle itself (pre book tickets is advised as queues were quite large when you just turned up) The Geological Centre near Holyrood and of course the walk up to Arthurs Seat where the views were just stunning. We also located some of the areas filmed in Trainspotting!

Access from the airport was easy, friendly staff at the trams directed us and advised us the best way to buy tickets and where to get off.

The Grassmarket itself was a lovely vibrant area with a very cosmopolitan feel to it with out door dining, buskers and arranged music.

The only thing to say the flat is on the top floor and quite a few steps up, which is fine for us but worth watching out for if you are not quite so good on your feet!!

Posizione fantastica, vista sul castello, casa molto grande e fornita di tutto il necessario.

Personalmente ho apprezzato molto il mio soggiorno, mi sono sentita come se fossi a casa, il che non è facile. Ottima posizione per visitare la città, vicina a tutte le attrazioni principali, vista mozzafiato sul castello e ambiente confortevole. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti coloro volessero spendere poco e passare una vacanza indimenticabile. Inoltre la ragazza che mi ha accolto è stata molto gentile e mi ha dato dei consigli molto utili circa cosa visitare.
