We just remodeled our 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment in designer, vintage chic style. No expense was spared in not only using the very best craftsman materials but also using authentic vintage furniture too. It is a sight to behold & seeing is believing!
Being recently remodeled, we put in luxurious, custom tile flooring throughout, a granite countertop and four burner gas stove/oven in the kitchen, all new hardware, fixtures, furniture and hand-picked 100% authentic vintage decor. Everything is brand new!
It is extremely bright, comfortable and comes equipped with a 42' smart tv w/ netflix, dishes, towels, linens, soap/shampoo, wifi, air conditioning, an iron and board, a blowdryer and a refrigerator. We have it all!
Free parking for one (possibly two) cars onsite.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to offer recommendations and will do my to accommodate any special requests. I am available 24/7 to answer any questions and look forward to making your stay as comfortable as possible!
The neighborhood is extremely safe and located just 3 miles from LAX in West Los Angeles. We are close to Google, Youtube, Fox, The Clippers, Belkin, Konami, Electronic Arts, Whole Foods and the Playa Vista Runway (officially open now!), etc. and just a few miles from Venice Beach, the Getty, and many other great Southern California places to visit. The adjacent neighborhoods are Venice, Playa del Rey, Marina del Rey, Culver City, Mar Vista, and Westchester.
There is bus access nearby and uber, lyft and many taxi companies are just a phone call away. If you come by car, you'll be happy to see how centrally located the building is, and how easy it is to get around. Best of all, parking is free!
Other things to note
Playa vista is one of the newest high-end neighborhoods in los angeles and phase two of its build process is currently in progress. We are located on a main street which can get busy and loud during the day, but our state-of-the-art double pane windows do block out a lot of the noise.
Playa vista itself was designed from the ground up less than 5 years ago to be not only one of the most walkable in los angeles, but also amongst the most safest and convenient the city has to offer. Attractions coming to playa vista soon include whole foods, cinemark, and an entirely new shopping complex called the runway.
The pictures are accurate to the space. There was a great welcome/info packet on the coffee table that had information regarding restaurants and attractions nearby. Finding the building as it was along a main road was a bit tricky at first as well as locating the alley to find parking, but was manageable with a little google sleuthing.
The space was pleasant and there was water and coffee/cream and sugar provided for my few nights stay which was a total win in my book. Plus free provided parking in LA can't be beat. The AC worked great for the bedroom and when left on filtered out into the main space well.
Please note that when the unit above you is occupied you will hear their every step and when they use the water. There is a fair bit of road noise as the building is located on a main drag between some commercial/retail businesses. There were a few minor maintenance items regarding lighting etc that I informed the property manager of as I left I hope would be repaired. There are numerous condos and retail spaces just getting off the ground within a half mile.
It is convenient for getting to Santa Monica, and many of the other popular LA neighborhoods and attractions.
The apartment was a cozy and comfortable alternative to a long hotel stay for business. It was conveniently located to freeway access and a nice urban/residential neighborhood that was suitable for walking around. Owner was very friendly and accessible for questions, and made every effort to promote easy access in the area with a well-thought-out service guide. If business brings me back to LA, would consider staying again.
I gave 3 stars because I don't believe in any 5 star rating, so this would be only a step below something that's absolutely amazing.
The place was clean except for the shark pillow... that was a little grungy. Aside from that, it's right on a busy street and the walls are very thin (you could hear the people next door and in the upstairs units very easily). So if noise gets to you, this might not be the best spot for you.
But it's close to some great dining, has a nice little courtyard, and if you just need a comfy roof over your head for a couple nights, I'd recommend this place for sure.
My wife and I spent a few days in LA and wanted something outside of the typical "hotel" stay. Let me tell you, we found just the thing! Why was this so perfect for us?
-Loved the location - we were near the airport, able to be at Venice Beach in about 15 minutes, great new restaurants nearby and a huge Whole Foods
-Loved the size - definitely bigger than a hotel room but not too big, it was a great place to relax
-Loved having a kitchen - we both watch our diets pretty carefully so having a way to prepare our own snacks/meals was a huge benefit
-Loved the atmosphere - off a main road but not noisy or distracting, once in the apartment we felt secure and at home
-Loved the communication - owners were responsive and let us know they were available if we needed anything
We would most definitely stay here again. We assure you, you will be glad you chose to stay here!
M & C - Houston, TX
We had a great two night stay at playa vista. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a 5 minute drive to the Venice canals and Venice beach and a 10 minute drive to Santa Monica pier. The alley entrance as we drove in seemed a little sketchy but the apartment entrance and the apartment door both have coded doors which made us feel very safe. Overall we had a great stay!
It was as small as we expected but a good layout. With the bedroom at the back, it was quiet even though it is right on a very busy street. We didn't need parking but it looked a bit tight, definitely good for compact cars. Very clean, all kitchen appliances one might want but no leftover condiments had been removed. However, the owners supplied coffee, sweeteners and creamers and bottled water. So great, thanks to them! Spent a few nights on the couch and found it very comfortable even though it is not a sleep sofa. Only negative would be the TV reception which was practically non-existent. We used Netflix a few times but would have liked to hear some daily news. Easy drive to airport, beaches and all kinds of cool things to do.
