Overview

About the property

Framlingham House is a lovely retored Grade II house, located in The Bayle, one of Folkestone's oldest areas which retains a village-like atmosphere, and a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of Folkestone's vibrant town centre. There is an attractive communal garden nearby with steps leading down to the harbour and new Harbour Arm with its pop-up restaurants and lighthouse champagne and music bar. Or just around the corner is the Creative Quarter with eclectic independent shops and boutiques and a variety of cafes. For a lovely evening stroll the cliff top walk is just yards away.

This elegant self-catering house is full of period features, and offers two comfortable sitting rooms allowing guests to choose the informal TV room, or the more elegant first floor room with sea views, and families can enjoy ample space for adults and children. The stairs are very steep and narrow so not suitable for the under 5's. Three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms make for an enjoyable stay in this lovely holiday home. A well equipped kitchen allows for catering and entertaining and the pretty courtyard garden offers a welcome retreat after a busy day exploring this interesting harbour town.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was so full of character and the location was perfect

Would absolutely recommend this property. Loved the upstairs sitting room with the view over the bays. Some beautiful walks on the cliffs and the beach. Very close to the town centre but you would not know it. Visited Dover Castle and did the Romney Hythe and Dimchurch Railway followed by crazy golf. The staff and owners of Lion pub opposite the front door were very welcoming and the food was delicious, with plenty of it. Our party ranged from 23 to 58 in age and all had a wonderful time. Quite small spiral stairs which might be a challenge for elderly or children. Would definitely visit again. Thank you.

Wunderbar!

Location

Walking distance of two lovely pubs, The British Lion, Folkestone's oldest pub, and The Pullman. Good choice of restaurants and cafes especially Rocksalt restaurant and many others on the Harbour Arm. A short stroll to the Creative Quarter with arty shops and cafes and an easy walk to the harbour.
